Would people rather people not post what they've been told? Or do people only want to hear positive things or things they believe....

I would honestly absolutely love it if we could get promoted back to the prem with Rosenior at the helm. I love his local connection and thought he was a top player for us. I like the fact he's clearly got a brain and the man has something about the way he composes and carries himself that I admire. I think his style of play could be used to grind out some good results against better teams. We're already kind of seeing that this season so in theory it could pay off nicely in a league where we're actually small fish in a big pond.

The problem comes against teams we're better than (on paper). We just don't put teams to the sword and we don't do enough to create good chances to win. We stick to one thing and we don't really adapt to suit the opposition very often. The other problem is, in my opinion, that I don't think we're willing to make changes in order to achieve that outcome either - certainly not from what Rosenior seems to have been saying about the style and the process etc. The style seems to come before playing to utilise individual's strengths.

That being said, I saw someone (I think on another thread) make a really valid point about how much Rosenior gets frustrated on the sidelines in those moments we take an overly safe approach. It's a good point to be honest. I think the ponderous build up is down to Rosenior, BUT I think those moments where we could twist the knife, take a gamble etc, but instead take the overly safe option could be more down to the individuals doing it. It's possibly a vicious circle where both 'problems' effect each other...

In short, I'm still on the fence. Nobody should be bigger than the potential success of the club. If we've given it more of a go by the end of the season I'll be more inclined to want Rosie leading us into next season. If we can't make some sort of positive change towards an attacking improvement over the remaining fixtures then I'd probably lean towards giving someone else a go, ideally before the recruitment begins so they're not starting with a fully inherited squad.

I understand people saying it's boring. Sometimes I think it is too, though I also appreciate moments where we keep the ball well under pressure. One thing's for certain though - excitement comes from watching goals and goalscoring chances, almost however they're created. If Rosenior can get us attacking more, even if the results aren't guaranteed, I think more people could get much more behind it all.

I don’t know if anyone has made this suggestion already, although I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere on any of the numerous threads on the subject but I’ve been wondering whether there is a possibility that Acun and Tan might have had a conversation with Liam since Monday with a view to going all out to try and make the playoffs.
I’ve just been wondering if they might tell him that his position is safe whatever happens and they want him to take the shackles off and give it a real go to see if we can win as many of the remaining games as possible.

'Someone' recently posted that users should speak to others as if they were sat next to them. Poor advice if the **** that posted it ignores it themselves. :emoticon-0103-cool:

It’s just a thought I had off the back of the various suggestions that certain players have been speaking to Tan about their concerns.
I would imagine they’d be a bit more subtle about it and perhaps just suggest that he might give it a bit of a tweak to try and find a way to create more chances and convert as many as possible.

In the bad old days when we kept attending under Mike Smith, Dolan and worse, Hateley, there was always the hope that the players, as crap as some were, could always pull a result, escape relegation, even get a promotion, I and many many others look at this squad, some of the best players we have ever had in this division, and see them underperform because of Roseniors rigidity in the way he sets the team up not to lose.
Our home form is shocking and most agree, utterly boring, in over 50 years I can say I’ve never been more bored watching City at home than I have this season, why do I want to pay to watch this.
Rosenior is a poor manager, he keeps buying keepers, but no striker, thats says a lot, to start home games without a striker is pathetic.

Do people seriously think he isn't already desperate to do exactly that without someone else gently suggesting it?

Baffles me the way people talk about managers sometimes.

I’m just suggesting that they might feel the need to try and lift the pressure on him by giving him the assurance that his position is safe whilst also encouraging him to approach the remaining games with a little less caution.
They will be acutely aware that he is struggling to find a solution to the issues we’re facing and will no doubt want to do everything they can to help.

    Harsh.
Without mods I guess there's no forum? They do a decent job on balance (even though we've had the occasional difference).

The only MOD worth keeping. Consistent & fair,

People struggle separating the poster from the MOD.

He’s the only MOD not to dive in & close threads each time one of their friends are being outed.

If one is replaced, they all should be,
