Of course it omits the fact that someone else would’ve been there instead. But I don’t think we’d have got anywhere near as good a loanees as Delap, Morton and Carvalho.
Could be. But then, maybe the likes of Delap/Morton have enjoyed their time here and would consider a permanent move that would guarantee them games!
What is the criteria for reducing points based on loan players? Is it just goals scored? Not a full picture really. Does it also take into account goals conceded because of loan players?
That's a totally worthless methodology. Of course, we obviously do rely heavily on loan players as we already know regardless of what an unacademic mock table says; LR himself has said that's our way of competing with teams who can spend more. I expect it to be the same next season with mostly different loanees.
Just unsustainable that’s all. As you see all the teams around us who are also building long term projects are exactly where they are in the actual table. So they all immediately have a head start on our “long term project”. Loans are great. But when you are trying to build long term you need more of your permanent match winners
Alot more random too The loanees might not fit into the team next season or perform subpar But no one is taking the table as outright gospel Its just interesting
Of course he’s brilliant for now and the future. Not enough planning for next season happened this season should we not go up. Other than Omur and Pandur maybe. Once all loanees are gone we are a bottom 6 side IMO.
Ideally we'd have no loans, but realistically we can't build a squad to compete with the top teams at this level without relying on some. At least that's what LR has said, and as with most things I believe him. It's only unsustainable if you fail to sustain the level of success in the loans you get. If as LR says, we're towards the front of the queue for the next Delap, Carvalho and Morton thanks to the success those three have had playing in this team this year, then I don't think there's any reason it can't be sustainable.
We can't rely so heavily on loans and short-termers in key positions next year. They're great as a scattering of cherries in the cake, but the core needs it's future committed to the club.
We might be able to spend what we want if this goes ahead. Unfortunately others in the Championship might be able to spend more. And if we go up we will be that far behind what the big ones, especially the oil clubs, can spend. Newcastle must be praying it goes through as they could outspend everybody except Man City. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...ay-Everton-Nottingham-Forest-lost-points.html
You think Acun would be in the pro lobby and right up Simon Jordans arse, writing open letters if it wouldn't help us?
Allsopp/Pandur Coyle Jones Greaves Mcloughlin Seri Slater Tufan Omur Connolly Toure. Off the top of my head, that 11 wouldn't be bottom 6.
Jesus. Really gotta question your credibility if you can't be arsed to do your own research. But... https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hull-city-owner-acun-ilicali-9170217 The open letter would be the first port of call, then theres the numerous talksport interviews and the little sojourn in the directors box at city few moths ago. If you could be arsed you could probably find it, but if you didn't first time you probably won't be ****ed to now. Yet you'll still spout ****e anyway. Do your own ****ing research. You've got the time.

It's also skewed because our loanees are mostly in the top end of the pitch. I've made it clear that I don't like loans and I certainly haven't softened on that but I don't really agree that it's a way of competing with teams who can spend more. Coventry have got themselves into a position where they can spend more and they've done that by developing and selling players. It does take longer to do but I don't think that's an issue personally (I know most on here appear to be in a rush to get to the PL though)
