Criminals.
Convicted without a trial, without representation or a chance to speak.
That's the way we do Justice in Britain today.
Rishi Sunak's potty plan to stop the boats has failed.
He took credit for the 30% drop in numbers last year, when it turns out that was entirely down to weather conditions.
Now crossings are up 28% again on this time last year.
Yet these desperate people still account for less than 10% of net migration.
After 14 years of Conservative Government.
Dehumanising these people isn't going to stop them coming.
Quasi-Nazi policies like deporting a few hundred of them to Rwanda isn't going to stop more of them coming either.
You know it. I know it.
Rishi Sunak knows it.
All he is interested in is skimming a few more votes from
A) people who have grown weary of this issue but for some reason don't blame him or his incompetent chums for it, yet yearn for a 'simple' fix.
And
B) Folk who might otherwise vote for Reform UK, the Reclaim Party or even more extreme organisations.
As I've said before. Sunak's immigration gimmicks are not about boats, they are about votes.
So is all that verbal crap about pulling out of the European Convention on Human Rights.
Even crackpots like Liz Truss know the Conservatives are heading for a caning at the ballot box soon.
Net migration is a massive and complex issue that cannot be addressed by a handful of gimmicks and divisive speeches.
It needs grown-ups to sit down and take a serious in-depth look at all the issues.
I doubt it, but just maybe we'll get that from a new Government.
