One that doesn’t pick Hemir or BurstowHere's a interesting question (well to me)
What style of play do we want from our head coach?
For me, it's a high press, high intensity don't let them settle approach with quick passing and interplay. Wingers and fullbacks high up the pitch
If that is him (and I'd want the opinion of an ear specialist before I believe it is), how would people feel about him?
Is he really a spoilt little rich boy or do we just have too many envious working class fans ??I dont know how long you have been away, but that wasnt just a mistake, for someone who pretends to be a football man it was a huge miscalculation, does he take us all for fools, well it certainly looks like it, spoilt little rich boy
Bit of both I fearIs he really a spoilt little rich boy or do we just have too many envious working class fans ??

Not so sure Bob as he does not come across as a spoiled brat or even show that level of privilege or buffoonery like say a Boris Johnson type. In all honesty he seems to be a fairly well educated level headed young man who may well have had a priviledged upbringing and not had the same struggles we have faced but I have no doubt he has faced different problems.Bit of both I fear
Biggest load of **** I've ever seen posted on here.do we just have too many envious working class fans ??
Mike Tullberg. Currently Dortmund u19s coach. Won back to back titles at that level. Won 22 out of 30 games so far this season. Was moved to that position to work with/help develop their latest crop of highly rated youngsters.
What would people think of him? Could we get him?
Best post on here…apart from those relating to the head coachNot so sure Bob as he does not come across as a spoiled brat or even show that level of privilege or buffoonery like say a Boris Johnson type. At this moment he is light years ahead of our last few owners in terms of vision and leadership but maybe needs to learn a bit more about the difficulties and emotions of the fan base to truly connect with us.
That said I think as a club he has turned the ship round and we are heading in the right direction he just needs to stay true and honorable and learn from any mistakes made. In truth we as fans are all perfect and non of us have ever made poor decisions or trusted the people in our lives too much and been let down have we???
what he is doing is a learning curve the same as anybody running a business or a football club and there will be more and will have been more mistakes. I like KLD and think he is approaching the club with a maturity beyond his years and has a vision and a plan that is moving the club forward and in 2 or 3 years I feel we may well see the fruits of that labour. Sure he has made some big decisions and has tried to do what is right and fans opinions will differ on every bid decision made.
I for one was not displeased when TM was let go as I think there was a lot of discord in the camp because of the leak regarding Farioli (in hindsight we probably should have appointed him) but I can also see the reasoning behind the club keeping an eye on succession planning.
In truth there are more fans acting like spoiled little brats than our majority owner is, they are kicking and screaming at every injustice or perceived injustice, and like yourself you seem to let your personal opinions and relationships with players and ex players affect your wishes for the club and your comments on here.
What we need is what is best for SAFC and not what is best for Bob or any other poster and whilst KS is on unstable ground (I think the new manager and Summer window will be pivotal for him) I believe that KLD is showing great maturity and will not be put off moving for another DoF if that is what is required as he has shown that big decisions can and will be made.

Good point. Funnily enough though, he was moved from the u23s to the u19s and this was considered a move to a more prestigious position by Dortmund. Not sure people would see it that way here though. And Dortmund is just a ridiculous talent factory for players and coaches.
I know nothing about him but I would give it a go. That said, I don't think people would get on board with a youth manager stepping up.

There in probably lies the nub of the problem.
The club will probably feel that it has to strike a balance between potential and experience. The appointment of a young upcoming coach with new ideas is probably the way they want to go but that coach would have to hit the ground running and get results and performances straight away or the sniping will start.
This probably means that they will be considering coaches who are a little further into their careers.
It will take a brave man to stand by a plan and take the criticism if it isn't instantly successful, hopefully we have such a DoF and owners as I feel that it would be the way to go.
All in my humble and not very well informed opinion of course.
Perhaps one area the club could improve, in the near future, is communication. We need to get a positive message out there and fill the void that allows these little internet warriors to look relevant. People are basically the same, if there is no news on the club in the mainstream media we will go looking for it on the internet which allows, err how can I put this, "alternative " views to spread. I'm not saying that we should issue propaganda but if you dont put your message across someone else will put theirs.
It's a bit like the Royal Family's "never explain, never complain" thing. With traditional media, that works because it gives them no fuel. With modern media, people fill the vacuum. Look at the wild speculation about Kate Middleton at the moment.Yeah I've been saying that for a little while, the tight lipped thing is great until someone else starts speaking and other people start believing it.
KLD needs to look at how he gets his vision and commitment across or people will continue to question it in the wildest of ways.
Interesting one mate. I have said before I think the first team setup, players through to DoF need a bit of experience somewhere. Mowbray was perfect in that sense, an old head on broad shoulders so to speak. I dont mean we need someone of a certain age, but someone with some solid experience would be my ask.Mike Tullberg. Young players like ours are learning all the time. Often through mistakes. Someone who can understand that and take the heat. Someone who has navigated winning and losing runs. Someone who can command a touch line and see what the opposition are planning and doing.
Not saying an u19 or u23 coach cant do that, just that they would be on a learning curve in the same way as our players are. So not top of my list for that reason.
On the playing side I do think we have a foundation to build from and progress higher up this division. There is definitely talent there, and if they are learning from adversity it will stand them in good stead next season. My hope would be in the summer we add 2 or 3 who will be able to bring some edge to the team, in terms of readiness and streetwise know how. We all know we need a focal point up front. It will completely change how we look to the opposition. A couple of others with experience to match the talent and we wont be far away. It then all comes down to who is in the dugout for me. It is not beyond us to get the right men in, but we need to sell it well now imo, as this season has probably made coaches and their agents think twice about us.Good post mate. It comes down though to the quality of the players he has available, and we must expect that they're learning and gaining experience all the time.
Also, whoever is appointed must be tactically aware and able to command the touch line....it's his job. If he's able to get his ideas over to the players, even though,at times, it's two steps forward and one back, it should be progress.
It may not mean automatic promotion next season, but if foundations are further laid and we are progressing on the pitch, it may be the right move? Another season in this division should give these players all the experience they need.....we shouldn't need to add it. I'm not convinced we need to add to it now.
The likes of Patto,Hume,Ballard,O9,Neil,Ekwah,Adil,Abdou,Riggy must have all gained valuable experience from our trials and tribulations this season. The problem they've had to deal with, apart from the horrendous injury list, is the constant head coach upheaval. If we can stabilise that, by making the right appointment, I'm convinced we can progress.
