Are you saying the club handled the Derby game competently? If so why did the owner issue an apology in his statement?
You could say not having a competent centre forward on the pitch regularly for 18 months is pretty much as bad as it gets recruitment wise for any club yet here we are.
It wasn't perfect, of course not ... ... but it wasn't the chaos at West Brom either. Even though it's Newcastle not everything is black and white.
Wasn't his apology about the signs? What else should he have done? If he'd said it was deliberate, there'd have been hell on. If he'd said it wasn't us, the conspiracy theorists wouldn't have believed him, and there'd have been hell on. Either way, all he could do was apologise.
It was far from perfect. When it's directly leading lots of lifelong supporters thinking of jacking it in for a while I'd say it was an absolute shambles and the people who made those decisions shouldn't be in such lofty positions at a prestigious football club.
If he knew all along, and sanctioned it, he didn't even need to apologise ... ... he could've just thought 'f*ck them' as people are claiming anyway.
It was my confusion over that Durham fellas post, when you talked about it being a characteristic, not where you live. I was kind of agreeing with you
People are always talking about jacking it in as soon as there's a few poor results. If we'd won that derby there'd be none of this imo.
Well I was right about Beale being a disaster of an appointment. You were wrong. Have a snipe about that - go on.
Right Head coach, surely we have to see the damage we are doing to Dodds, the young players and just about everyone whilst we plod along?
People aren't on about jacking in because of results. All of the negativity since December has been self inflicted by the incompetent running of the club - they have made staggeringly bad decision after staggeringly bad decision sucking the enthusiasm out of the support as a result, imo.
How long is it since Dodds left his Development Coach role? Could there be a link between that and some of the signings not making as much progress as earlier signings? He's got a great reputation in that role and its an important one. Are we hurting ourselves not having him there?
Almost like he isn't a manager - if only speakman wasn't such a genius he'd be nowhere near this position.
