his background was the Birmingham academy right? He’s clearly a very good operator when it comes to the footballing structure of a club. But his entire philosophy of football is about developing youngsters. Not winning. Id be very happy with him as our academy director. Much like id be very happy with Dodds as our first team coach. Both have been promoted beyond their capabilities.

He isn't picking the team. He makes suggestions and spotlights players who are encouraged to get more minutes.He should have zero say.

I agree mate. I also think Beale will probably be a good coach on the training pitch. Standing on the sideline in front of 40k is different gravy though, it takes something different to be able to handle that.

To be fair if Speakman has been doing this then he also got us promoted and into play offs last year Lost the plot this year tho. Both in recruitment of players and managers
