Why would City allow us to send him back? We can't just stop paying his wages because he got injured and we don't fancy paying him any more
Chambers story has to be bullshit. He's 29, former England international at Villa. Wages wise, he'll be on more than the entire back four of our last match put together.
Second verse... Youre signing for us, you're sign ing for us.... If Acun says he wants you, you're signing for us...,!!
That would be ridiculous. But when we let Smith go out on loan, it suggested he would bring in a centre back. Why would he weaken any area of the squad if we are going for a promotion push? Unless he rates young Ashbee more?
It would have been a great signing but his wages must be huge and I cannot see him coming here to sit on the bench, but could play right back though.
It would not look good just sending him back if you have any thoughts of trying to buy him in the next window, and Delap may appreciate being in and around the club especially as he played his part if we make the play offs.
This is why it's odd. We surely wouldn't go and sign someone of that profile when Jones is already one of our best players. Dropping him for a bigger name coming in would be bizarre, but so would Chambers sitting on the bench.
I think he's a right back more than a centre back, he can just play in both, sure majority of his games have been at full back.
