It's a change in tone: Mr Zelenskyy has throughout the war insisted hostilities would not cease until Ukraine has pushed Russian forces from every inch of its territory - and that he would refuse any terms that would involve giving up Ukrainian land. However, with the war set to enter its third year soon, and Western support beginning to dwindle, suggestions have been made by some analysts that Ukraine could head for the negotiating table and soften its stance. It is unclear exactly what Mr Zelenskyy's statement means, although some reporters from Ukrainian outlets are suggesting it means a peace deal could be on the horizon.

I'm totally lost as to where we are with Putin's Russia. I've read today that both China and India are supportive of his continuing leadership. I guess that's economically driven. What does he actually want?
Power and money, and maybe a lasting legacy. Its his war, and that of his oligarchs. Unfortunately we in the UK are still knowingly and willingly help fund it
Ukraine can’t win, it’s a **** show and we should seek terms where all sides have to concede something.
You'd assume their withdrawal from NATO would do it, but perhaps it's gone beyond that now. Russia and Putin are very scary prospects
