I’m not so sure about this kid, hasn’t played much football, only just back from injury and will definitely not be up to speed. Also there is a chance he could break down and be out a period of time so totally useless to us… Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi remains a player of ‘significant interest’ to Hull City, as detailed in a report by HullLive. Hull City are keen to bolster their attacking department before the end of the transfer window. Rak-Sakyi, 21, has recently been out injured for Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Hull need more competition and quality in forward areas if they are to mount a serious push for the play-offs. They lack depth on the wing so Rak-Sakyi would be a useful addition if they were able to bring him to the MKM Stadium for the remainder of the campaign. He has been on the books at Crystal Palace since 2019 having previously been at Chelsea. The England youth international has made 10 first-team appearances for the Eagles in all competitions, eight of which have come during the first-half of this term. HullLive report the Tigers tried to land him last summer and he remains on their radar this winter along with Burnley’s Manuel Benson.
His main problem here is that he's been used wide left as we have others in the 10 role and we were short on the wings. He's not been that effective there, but looked better in the 10 when he's got his chance more centrally We have Tufan, Carvalho ahead of him in that position though, and he's not really a winger. Also, apart from central free kicks just outside the box on set pieces he's been woeful. Been largely taken off them if they're wide or longer deliveries - and that's a lot of what we wanted him for.
His relationship with Manning will help him settle in and I think he's a Wiltshire lad anyway so not too far from you. There's definitely a player in there and you may get better out of him than we did, but only if you play him as a number 10. We've had him all over the shop which hasn't helped. Sometimes loans just don' work out and overall Twine hasn't worked out for us. As others have said his dead ball kicks were by and large disappointing and he rarely takes a man on and beats him. That said, I might back him to score a free kick the first time he plays for you
I wouldn’t say his dead ball kicks were disappointing. Maybe disappointing that he didn’t score many, but he hit the majority of them very well and were only a whisker off target a lot of the time with the keeper otherwise beaten. Its not like he was smashing them all into row Z or making tame efforts straight at the keeper or wall.
With some of his early free kicks I wouldn't bet against it if we're playing in a neighbouring county
Twine has a good engine for the full 95 minutes but, on occasions his ball control lets him down. Not a wide player (where we mostly played him) as hasn't got pace or trickery to get past his man. Better in the centre, but light weight like most of our team.
Twine has got little to no pace. Tidy feet and a reasonable passing range. His set pieces were pretty abysmal.
Unproven in this league unlike Benson, but has looked good in limited minutes for Palace. Although coming back from injury it might take some time to get up top speed. Benson feels like the safer option
Lot to do in the next couple of days? I wasn't overly impressed with Twine during his spell with us,a lot of games just seemed to pass him by but he showed the odd glimmer that gave you a sort of hope that maybe we could eek a bit more out of him...Ultimately I saw little to convince me personally that he was a £2.5 million player but opinions will differ on that. History now and if it's a mutual decision then there's very little we can do about it.It does worry me though that we've got a trip up North on Friday night, the physio has a full bench and we're now another player light?
I did'nt rate twlne very highly, but against Norwich particularly in the first half I thought his link up play with Carvalho was really good.
Personally, wont miss Twine - never set the world alight even once - still no mention of incoming left back or centre half whi can command the area- our back four are woefully weak
Lets hope he's not Ebowei in disguise... ANOTHER London lad that couldnt get to grips with uuuup North...
