Cheers Smug, thankfully I'm surrounded by friends and family who are so kind beyond words. It's my dad who's left us. He was more than a dad though, he was the mate I met for a few pints every Friday afternoon after work. He was a pragmatist as well, we spoke about this day that would inevitably come. I was talking to one of my uncles today and he reminded me of one of the many off the wall funny things my dad would say. He said he was having elephant trunk on toast for Christmas Dinner , that something my dad would jokingly ask restaurant staff for when he was out for a meal. RIP Tommy.
Well that was Christmas Day, very relaxed after the mad present opening. One of the kids flat out, the other playing on his new vr headset, so I'm eating my weight in chocolate and having a few beers watching nfl games as Mrs Chunk is watching her latest box set show
Yep, had a good day. Kids (adults) have gone home, the Mrs is in bed, so I'm having the first one of the day.....if this counts.
Thought I would post this on here. The Mrs bought me a jigsaw, a Sunderland jigsaw. Roker Park, 7th May 1973....F.A. Cup homecoming. I was too young at the time, wonder if anyone on here recognises themselves or was there. She has said can frame this one and put it on the wall.
Thought I would post an update on this. Finally got it finished tonight.....only took from boxing day!! Without doubt the hardest one I've done. Ordered a frame today (30x24inch), to put it on the wall. At least that way I'll never have to do it again.
I haven't yet, but I will be. Will probably seal it both sides, make sure it never comes apart again!!
Funny enough, the last last piece of the jigsaw fit, but wasn't right. Had to scour the thing to find the other piece that was wrong. That bloody Luke O'Nien.....was his fault.
