Merry Christmas everyone. Quiet day here, lost someone close last week so just trying to make the best of it. Thankfully the grandbairns are too young to realise what's happening, it's been a joy to see their faces today.

Unfashionable statement: I really enjoyed The King's Speech.

All the best.

Tragedy always seems worse when it's at a time everyone is supposed to be dancing around and happy ...

.... thankfully there's always someone who gives us that moment of joy to keep us going.

I pretty much live alone these days as Mrs Smug has vanished into herself and I sit here hoping she wakes up for the meal I've lovingly prepared.

But my friends, here and those I know in real life going back 50 years, always keep me going ...

... I always try to be up for my mates and help them through tough times.

So it's payback time lads <laugh>

I once traipsed across a meadow, dressed as Santa, in Provence on Christmas Eve ...

... the lady of the house was putting her four year old, Jasper, to bed and they saw me in the far distance.

On Christmas Day he ran to tell me he'd seen Santa delivering presents around the neighbourhood ...

... what a wonderful moment to see the joy in that kid's eyes :emoticon-0103-cool:

Merry Xmas gents.

Hope you’ve all had a brilliant day with you and yours. Similar to a few of you we also had a first Christmas without someone special this year. Lost my FIL last month who was a massive lads fan and season card holder of over 40 years.

Here’s to all those who aren’t here to celebrate this one with us :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:
