Funnily enough that almost happened to mine Smug, I did it the same way I have done for years but this year it was on the cusp of falling apart as I put into the baking tray.I pride myself on my ham.
Today's was a fkn disaster from start to finish
Did all the prep, boiled it Coke and it was looking great. Took it out and it fell apart ...
... tried glazing it and it burned to a crisp in the oven.
I've just booted it over the hedge hoping it doesn't poison the the local foxes ...
... thankfully I have a fridge full of Italian lagers so I'll get over it![]()

I glazed and baked it and it looks ok now, hopefully it will be good to go tomorrow.

Hope you dont mind mate, my Ham was magic. My Dad, who says he hates ham, every year eats the baked christmas ham like it is his last meal. Just had a plate myself, with my own picallili and feel content. Large glass of malt poured, my corner seat watching the family, loving my life.I pride myself on my ham.

Just to be clear here...I did say barstewards, not "club stewards".Would like to wish everyone on here a Merry Christmas, hope you all have a wonderful time with your families and friends.
Also, would like to say "Thank You" to you all, you really are a loving bunch of barstewards.
From me and my family, to you and yours...
Merry Christmas.
Thing of beauty that mate.Done my ham earlier, left in the stock until its cooled down, then wrapped in foil.
In the fridge overnight to set, ready for glaze tomorrow.
The things next to it is sage & onion stuffing, wrapped in streaky bacon. Way better than pigs in blankets.

Had a running commentary of that app all night.

All the bestWell it's coming up to 6pm on Christmas Eve, tomorrow is a time for family, friends and a bit of reflection for those not here.
A time to put aside differences, we all want the same result, just don't always agree on the way to get them.
To everyone on here and I genuinely mean this, whether we have argued, agreed, or varied in between. I hope you and your families have a lovely Christmas.
As I've always been taught we look after our own and despite differences at times you lot are a good bunch.
Merry Christmas everyone
I always do mate, because I have faith in myself and my friends ...
... you're a big part of my Christmas, I always think about you and your lads.
