Style of play is fine

injuries are overblown by some on here, I don't think particularly many of them are unbelievable key players who we can't do without. The only one that needs to come back asap is Botman, apart from him?

What, are we crying out for the ungodly skills of Harvey Barnes or the running of Sean Longstaff? Perhaps the funny faces of Murphy. No. Howe doesn't even use subs properly, so it's not like we miss them coming on at 76 minutes to waste time for 10 mins.

It's the clear lack of talent on display, we made so many good runs this game and Almiron constantly picks out the worst possible option, he passes towards their players, or into a dead space.

We run into nowhere, Gordon get's the ball from a decent position and what can he do? Run through and beat 4 Everton defenders, no one is even around to support the lad.

Then we have Isak, looking absolutely bang average, he was supposed to be our big leap forward. He's not good enough to lead the line.

Bruno works hard and has skill, but Joelinton? That guy is just a log, he looks OK at times but large parts of the game what he is even meant to be doing is lost on me.

Trippier is asked way too much of, he's 33 years old and has to support our captain all game.

Schar is absolutely ****ing average, AVERAGE. He is nowhere near good enough to support Lascelles and is heavily reliant on Livramento.

Miley is a ****ing beaming light of optimism in all this, him and Gordon are the future of the club.

Not even putting Hall on for the last few minutes when the game is gone is a strange one.

Very narrow to say this because its about risk management. The squad he's got has not lived with the demands of his management and intense style of play.

He's never had it tested at this level and wow the players have not lasted until January.. knackered , injured and collapsing.

Dislocated shoulders, landing on your back, a random toe injury etc is just bad luck and nothing to do with style of play.

It's quite obvious.

I don't think you understand what im saying mate.. a manager can't predict the future but they can reduce risk. Its no good not rotating key players and then blaming luck. He's not rotated players and doesn't like subs.

He's run the core players into the ground and look at the result... this is part of his job and its clearly not something he's doing well at. The players are done by early December.

Take Emery for example 1-0 up vs City.... takes of big players as early as half time .... Howe just chucks the kitchen sink at it every 3 days.

The squad is buckled and he's responsible for that because it's part of his job.... he's done a good job in all other areas but his squad management is turd.

If the majority were muscle injuries you may have a point but they aren't.

No, you're right that rotation and use of substitutions don't look to be a Howe strong point (but then, is anyone arguing specifically against this?).

But you're wrong about this particular injury crisis being a direct result of that. Odds of a player sustaining an impact injury wont be impacted :) by rotation.

You don't get to just just declare when assuming odds unfortunately and you're wrong because the odds reduce dramatically when rested. the type of injury is irrelevant and its not because you know about the difference between muscle injuries/ impact injuries and I dont it's because I've looked beyond that strawman argument for a deeper explanation.

It's risk management and that is the managers responsibility...Howe hasn't been successful in this area of his job and has done very well at everything else as far as I can see.

You agree the rotation hasn't been good enough and that is the managers responsibility. If you don't manage the squad well and end up with burned out players and a huge injury crisis it is illogical to then blame 'luck'.

When looking for reasons you won't achieve anything if you put things down to 'luck' although you can impact your 'luck' through managing things differently.

We can back and forth for a decade on this but I'm convinced that something will be changed over time to reduce the chances of this happening again.

Come on mate most people agree rotation hasn't been good enough but there is absolutely no chance more rest time would have stopped Tonali getting Banned, two dislocated shoulders, Barnes breaking his toe after like 4 games etc and to ignore the differences between overuse injuries and impact injuries is disingenuous.

There are some Injuries you just can't account for, its not one or the other both statements are very much true but to suggest the whole thing could have avoided is wrong. Could you please explain from your point of view how we could impact our luck to have avoided injuries to Murphy, Barnes, Pope, Targett and Anderson.

I think I've already explained and that is my view and everyone is entitled to theirs... the future will tell us more.

Essentially we have people sighting luck and I'm taking another view that it's both luck and squad management.

At this point either could be right .it's theories
