Yeah he was interviewed about it by Barney’s on bbc radio before one of our games, absolutely fascinating I thought
Sorry mate, wasnt trying to suggest Swansea were making a good appointment. Just that it is an interesting one to watch. I know folk who have been close to his work at Leicester and say he is exceptional. I wasnt trying to suggest we should be in for him, just that I think he might in time be a good coach. Same as I think about the lad at Notts County. I dont know as much about Hellberg, or rather I dont know people who do, so cant judge. Doesnt mean he is worse, better or a bigger gamble. Both could be excellent, or both could flop. One thing I do think is different between us and Swansea is expectation. It does seem our ownership are hell bent on the prem in the next 2/3 years. That expectation brings stresses and strains that I think a more experiencee head might handle better. At the end of the day I am a 50 odd year old bloke, who does a bit of coaching. Maybe I just am jealous of these young lads, or maybe I value experience too much. Like I said I do trust the club at the minute, they are better equiped than me, so whoever it is I am behind them.
Speaking to a lad in Sweden and he said hellberg had 3 or 4 strikers getting regular goals and is known for building out from the back and getting his strikers to score. Yes ****ing pls
Could double up as physio.....when we have a freekick administer some treatment...... as well as have input into the freekick
I think at his age he's achieved very little. Solid enough chap. Better bet elsewhere. If you disagree fair enough.
Playing catch up and this sweedish lad seems to be coming up on the rails. This is like.transfer window time where names get mentioned amd I have Google who they are. Much more fun than the usual suspects roundabout we used to go round
https://open.spotify.com/episode/24ELtzqEIh0LdXPXs5yYCf?si=RJ2sbBw1TtmUavPH_daxlg Came across an jnteresting podcast with David Sellini (Kim Hellbergs assistant) who has now replaced Kim as headcoach at Varnamo (hope we can get him to come with Kim) he talks about how they place and their approach to the game. Brilliant stuff. I stand corrected. He hasn't got the Varnamo job. It was one of the other coaches. Looks like Kim and his assistant will be coming then!
I'm pretty confused by this Hellberg link. I've read that he's highly rated but I can't really see any indication of why that's the case. Looks like he has had one good year at a tiny Swedish team, which seems all well and good but not exactly mind blowing. Sure there is much more to it than I can see, and I trust KS and KLD, but I'm by no means sold on this guy.
