Swansea sacked their manager earlier, feel like we will be looking in a similar market considering their normal style

Why? Tension were clearly high in the summer. He isn't the one for the longer term.

He has done very well and is always welcome at the club. But no way was he staying past this season and since the form has been absolutely shocking. 2 wins 10 or something, this is all that was needed to get him gone.
It’s a gamble like and i hope the next lad make something of our ineffective strikers and gap in midfield.

I am the opposite. To time build for the future. High press, young, and relentless team

<cool>
Yeah maybe. He surprised me when he came in, I've never seen Sunderland play such attractive, attacking football. He was never my first choice (he wasn't my 99th choice) but he did really well for us and had a lot of credit in the bank with the majority of fans. Call me parochial, but I enjoyed having a manager from the region who understands what the club and the fans are about.

ultimately I have faith in KLD and (to a degree) KS. Am sure they have someone lined up and the timing is quite tactical

Jocelyn Gourvennec was heavily linked when KLD came in and is currently a free agent again

edit - no he’s not - was appointed at Nantes a few days ago

Reactions: Sour Patch
It’s a shame as I love the bloke, but the more I think about it… from a board perspective and based on recent performances and his interviews it’s not a huge surprise.

Don’t think this would have happened if we hadn’t finished in the playoffs last season, if anything Mowbray’s unexpected success may have been his downfall.

Success brings greater expectations and looked like he was feeling the pressure from it in recent weeks.

i think he would of been gone in the summer if it wasn't for the playoffs and fans reacting to the rumour at the time
