Israeli government issued Military Order 101 which essentially criminalised civic activities under the basis of “hostile propaganda and prohibition of incitement”. The order, which is still in use in the occupied West Bank, outlaws the participation and organisation of protests, printing and distributing political material, waving flags and other political symbols, and any activity that demonstrates sympathy for an organisation deemed illegal under military orders. Three years later, another military order (378) was issued by the Israeli government. This established military courts, and basically outlawed all forms of Palestinian resistance to the Israeli occupation as “terrorism”. So arrested, thrown in prison indefinitely, without charge or trial.......... for waving a flag

Can anyone tell me when anti-semitism became a term used only for prejudice against Jewish people? Always confused me as Arabs are semites too. Presumably there is a reason behind it but I'm ignorant of it and am interested to know

It comes from the early 1800s. The term was popularised by the Germans in the late 1800s, it was often used as a replacement for "I hate Jews" so that "scientific" texts which decribed them as being lesser than normal "Aryan races" would be less obvious. This is wrong.
