But surely that relies more on others doing something?

Going to agree to disagree on this one. He might improve, but he's being passed over for starts for a reason on current form.

Rosenior has praised him quite a bit though, saying that he's close to starting but hasn't been. He's a very regular sub.

Lokilo's career trajectory probably says it all about where he currently is. He's in his mid 20s, with a season in a poor Division One Doncaster side behind him and has then flittered about Europe, a season at a time, playing for distinctly unfashionable clubs.

He looks like an upgraded Randell Williams - another one who wasn't really given a chance with us.

Lokilo may get some game time in the coming months but probably as a result of injuries. He'll probably do a job but not set the team alight.

He was definitely bought as a squad option, which there's no shame in, and I think he's a great player to have as a depth option and off the bench late in games as fresh legs, but he's very limited and I don't think that's a controversial statement.

Move quickly in an apparently random or purposeless manner.

Just realised that it's the story of my life. I shall start using it as such when introduced to people at cocktail parties and the like.

    James Furlong...

“I have settled in well at Hull and am just waiting for my opportunity now," the Dublin-born left-back told the Irish Independent. "I can’t wait to start playing games regularly. I was at Brighton for four years, so you’re always a bit disappointed to be leaving, but Hull was a great opportunity. It’s a great club and the manager is really good as well. I want to get into the team as soon as possible. Hopefully, I can do that and play as many games as I can.

“From the minute I came in, the two of them (Connolly and Vaughan) helped me settle in and showed me around. It’s always nice knowing some faces when you move to a new club. They were there for me for sure. Aaron is a great player and a really nice guy. He has really helped me settle in. He (Connolly) works hard every day and is enjoying his football, which is the main thing.”

Championship side Hull City have taken Shelbourne striker Gavin Hodgins on trial.

That's according to a report from The Irish Mirror, who say that the Tigers' English second-tier rivals Ipswich Town, and Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar, are also interested in the 19-year-old.

Hodgins may still be in the early stages of his career, but he is already starting to make the step-up to senior level in the Republic of Ireland.

Having come through the youth ranks, the 19-year-old made six senior appearances for Shelbourne last year, before his campaign was cut short by injury.

However, the striker has been producing some prolific form for the club's academy team during this calendar year, as he works his way back up to full fitness.

Now it seems as though that form he has been producing, is starting to attract plenty of interest in his services, from elsewhere in Europe.

Hodgins is expected to arrive at the club on Tuesday, where he will then spend the next week training with the Tigers, as he looks to earn a deal with Liam Rosenior's side.

Do we look to make Liam's move permanent in Jan? Bit paranoid he'll cost double by august.

What are they asking for? I asked a few Man City fans (one local) and they seemed to think he'd be gettable for us. But might not be as close to it.
