Until the root cause of his toe issue is resolved the club should be holding of contract talks.

 

Think we could begin negotiations but not commit too heavily to it. You know, just dip our toe in..

I recall Connolly being interviewed when he had scored and eclipsed his seasons best to date this season, he was asked what was making the difference and he immediately said trust, perhaps he needs to understand it works both ways.

 

It’s protecting an asset. What’s the point in just letting him go? He’s gone from starting to not even getting off the bench overnight, but it’s fine have digs because people hear things and share it.

Also no one claimed a bust up, just rumours of him slipping back to his old unmotivated ways.
