Didn't he miss a penalty in the shootout defeat to Lincoln in the Football League Trophy? His only meaningful involvement.
I think Tan admitted the Roma ‘arrangement’ hadn’t come to much and implied it was dead in the water.
Think Jaden will be marked 2 up from now on, already has been at Ipswich and kicked . Need to have men near him to support him, give him outlets 1-2’s etc Another talent like him in the team would really shake things up for the opposition to deal with . Mind you Delap takes some handling
Actually looking back to be fair he said it's 'on hold' a bit - rather than dead in water. In same interview he expands on the Philogene buy-back. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/spo...ews/hull-city-vinagre-future-juventus-8766903
Thing is, we do have the talent in the team (although he is exceptional). Delap, he's real quality Connolly, just see YT clips of what he's capable of (yep, I know) Morton Seri Traore Tufan, when back Lokilo (early-ish, but looks like he has quality too) Vinagre (ditto) Twine Sinik Vaughan Christie .... and then there's the necessary 'work-horses', without meaning to sound disrespectful Rosenior has to get them firing. The quality, ability is no doubt there now.
I completely agree with this. Although I'm a big fan of Rosenior and think he gets loads of unfair criticism, I completely agree that our squad is now full of real quality. I think it might take some time to get the consistent results we want and that we should be patient with that, but I'm confident we have everything we need to get there eventually, including the manager.
We definitely need a dangerous winger on the opposite side of Jaden Imagine a front three of Philogene, Delap, and Lokilo/Sinik (if they come good) tearing teams apart And then add in Tufan firing shots in from the edge of the box like an artillery gun Makes me a bit horny
Jaden is debatably too attacking to start as is, no chance we could have another player like him in the 11
Agreed. He's got obvious talent but his 'first thought is to attack' approach is a little naive. Villa obviously saw the need for him to get his head up. He'll benefit from a season on loan; either Div 2 or non League. Ireland might be a bit challenging at this point.
I don't think Lokilo is quality at all. I think he's a good option and has the right mentality when he comes on - driving at the opposition - but I'm yet to be convinced he has any end product at this level.
He might be, we've barely seen anything of him yet. But as ever, that makes people think he's the answer to everything. Rosenior clearly sees him as our second best out and out winger after Philogene, but ahead of Allahyar, Vaughan and probably Sinik. However, he also prefers to have a more central player drifting in from the wing (Traore, Twine, Slater) than playing Lokilo most of the time. That's probably about how good he is, realistically.
Not certain that Rosie wants this, or the players you name tend to do it. I keep seeing Rosie tell them to stay wide from the technical area.
Perhaps the fact that we haven't seen much of him actually supports that opinion? Granted he's been injured a bit but when he's played I haven't seen any evidence of an end product. If anything I'd play him with the instructions of driving forward just so teams can't double up on Philo.
I disagree, I've definitely seen evidence of Lokilo's end product. I remember his coming on late for Vinagre and start doing what he hadn't managed all game - take on his man and put a cross in. He's tenacious too... I'd honestly give him a shot at playing LB.
End product to me is scoring or assisting, or at least putting successful crosses in - i.e. landing on a head. Getting crosses in that don't result in anything doesn't mean much.
