Everyone will lose and draw games that they ‘should’ win. Getting pumped 5-0 is different.
Is it? We've been pumped 9-0 twice and recovered. Getting dicked is still only losing 1 game just with a hit to GD.

Almost. Leeds can't afford to drop points like that at home. Admittedly our GD took a hit but only getting one point at home to the bottom team is awful.

It will happen to Leeds, us and Leicester a lot. Teams will absolutely park the bus. You can't expect to always win those type of games. No shame in drawing a blank for Leeds today, especially after scoring four at Ipswich.

Yeah but in those seasons we were only looking to win about 10 games. This year we need to be winning more than double that if we want to be in the autos. Hopefully it is a wake up call as Martin put it that we can’t just rock up and expect to win without putting in the work.

Yeah, it did feel like an element of “just turn up to win” complacency (which also bled into our fanbase).

The two early goals hugely influenced the poor performance today because we never recovered from them and you would hope that we learnt not to leave one player back from a corner in the first minute.
Russ now has the tools to build an effective team and it's about finding the right blend now, we are still very much in the experimental stage and I expect that we will drop a few more points in the next few weeks.

We didn’t as it happened twice after they scored. Maybe it will be changed for the next game

A lot of teams will have watched Sunderland today and learned how to play against us. It was a huge psychological blow.
Or…we will learn from that result and it is fortunate that it happened so early in the season. But let’s take the most negative interpretation possible. It’s a bad loss certainly. But it’s not exactly an indication that every team will be able to do that. Especially as the match thread had people pointing out it was a poor team selection - which hopefully won’t happen every time

Far too small a sample size so far to draw conclusions about a team’s strength based purely on League position
