You're absolutely right, I have no idea what I'm on about and everything is perfect. We went after Davis for a bit of fun even though we had no need for him and we're going to storm the league!
If Turkey's window doesn't close for another two weeks, then we can say goodbye to Sinik. A shame as I think he has the potential to make the same impact as Tufan.
We wanted Davis who was the total opposite of Oscar, great in possession and linking play but not a great goal scorer. Oscar was never going to play in this team, hence why he’s gone.
I don't think that's a given. The mystery player we didn't get was a winger so I'd expect at leat 1 of Ali or Sinik to stay.
Not sure I'd call him the complete opposite, and not sure what we've brought in is similar to Davis anyway, so regardless of what you're trying to say about Oscar, surely you acknowledge we're light up top from where we wanted to be.
The incomings have been very good just the deal to allow Oscar to leave to a **** club where he’s probably going to have a **** season on LOAN. Has put a massive damper on it.
If we’re going to play a system that allows the fullback to be the extra man and free a lot of the time I’d rather that be Vinagre then Coyle as I feel he offers more attacking threat. Coyle can and has been playing that role but it requires Greaves to start at left back.
Sinik is as good as a new signing if he returns to our team. He’s clearly capable of much more than we have ever seen in his very limited minutes in a city shirt when coming back from a long injury and no pre season. Injury record over the last 12 months is very concerning though. Perma-injured.
I once picked up an XR2i from someone I knew, 1 lady owner from new, 90k on the clock, for £150 with tax and mot. Sold it a week later for £650 because my mum moaned about it being on the drive. Just because I quadrupled my money didn’t make it a good choice.
They’re opposites. Davis suits our playing style, Oscar doesn’t. Im not that worried about him going because I don’t think he’d play much anyway, and if he did it would be off the bench with not much success. We’re light if you’re looking for a poacher but we don’t play like that so what is there to miss?
Connolly isn't really a hold up player. If we lose Delap then we have no one really for a role with back to goal that seems key to the way we play. Maybe we'll adjust as we did last season but I'd rather we had a 3rd striker, especially with Connolly's availability record currently. I know Allahyar signed as a 9, and we have Tufan and Twine as false 9s, Traore as a 10 so we have options, but that more traditional 9 role seems to have been pivotal to Rosenior style when we've had one available.
