    Exactly why I ask marra.

    It's also why I'm a little surprised that a club is still taking such a big punt on him this window when they may have no idea what they may be getting. I know Southampton can probably afford to.

    If it can be known at this stage how he will recover and if I was being cynical then I may question whether it is a coincidence that Southampton is the club he's off to with Mowbray's brother there...

    I think it's a fantastic deal, considering the factors you mention, the severity of the injury and the question marks about his future, and the fact we paid bugger all for him. We've done brilliantly.

    I agree but equally, could have signed a deal and chased the cash with his greedy agent. That’s the reality so not going to get soft on him. Just a shame when a good player leaves per se. Hope like **** we have a plan.

    Speaking as a Saturday and Sunday clogger who did his achilles in the eighties, he won't know how he is until he's played full on and took a few whacks on it, which of course will come.

    For me it says we have massively moved on as a club.
    Our development program is working Teams are now taking notice of our players.
    Just need to see if its aligned to our recruitment and team progression
    Really hope we manage to get some quality through the door.
