Definitely on the right track mate but in this and age for fans to think that someone can buy a club the size of Sunderland and not dip into their pockets is crackers. Football clubs are billionaires playthings now. There’s an element of sustainability but it only gets you so far.

If they go to £8.5m I’d snap their hand off. We know how good Stewart is but we can lose him for nothing come January. In reality if fit he’s worth more than that but the injuries, the contract situation etc I think that would be great business by the club. That’s a lot of money for us to go and sign a striker, and remember just because later in the window clubs are desperate for signings it doesn’t mean clubs aren’t desperate to sell either.

Agree 100%. Get Keifer Moore in on loan along with Rusyn and use the rest of the money towards a CDM. If we can't get an adequate replacement, he stays imo.

    Bournemouth manager on Moore's future

But asked whether Moore returning to Cardiff was a possibility, he said: "No. Right now we have three forwards, with the option also of Justin [Kluivert].

"We are happy with Dom [Solanke], with Keiffer [Moore], with Antoine [Semenyo]. I think we have different options.

"Yes [I expect Kieffer to stay at the club]. Right now, this is the situation. You can never guarantee with any player because sometimes circumstances change from one hour to the other."

Would be happy with that. Moore as the target man, Roberts, Clarke, Rusyn, Dack etc all playing off him.

The issue is the top clubs in the world n the saudi teams set an unrealistic expectation of how supporters think owners should spend their money. KLD has spent money, hes spent it on things that are likely to make us more successful in the long run. Data n recruitment teams are key to any teams success and hes invested in that. The academy should be the life blood of clubs like ours and hes investing in that.

Quick wins arent the way forward for us. For every big spending owner theres probably 10 chancers or clueless owners. We have an owner that has a vision, has employed people to achieve that vision and hes done that by investing in the right things n giving us our club back

Stuttgart tried Pierre Ekwah, but Sunderland blocks any departure for the French defensive midfielder for the moment

Its stressful but its also refreshing to know we have quality players that other clubs actually want

Said to my dad for yrs that we could never offload our players as they were poor, now we finally have players others want - will def be a few bumps in the road but the future is def bright

Unless we're 100% sure Stewart will pass a medical and agree terms ...

... how can we bring in a replacement?

Agree mate but unfortunately that unrealistic expectation has became reality. You have clubs like West Ham who aren’t even guaranteed top spending hundreds of millions before even selling Rice.

It’s only sustainable up to a certain point, getting out of L1 isn’t really difficult even though we made it look like it was - there’s not a hope in hell any club can survive in the PL if their owner doesn’t spend anything beyond what the club profits in revenue. English football and the amount of money being spent is beyond repair.
