Aye, we might be getting £8m for a crock who doesn't want to be here.

Honestly, we should be ****ing delighted.

Even if he goes and we don't replace him, the squad isn't any weaker currently.

£8m plus add ons is my guess

Goals bonus, promotion bonus. Total package just north of £10m and it's a good profit for a lad who doesn't want to be here any more

Piroe and Akpom went for around 10 so personally I think somewhere in the region of 8 is a good deal. It’s unfortunate that this is how it’s ending, but selling players is how you move forward

If we don't replace him we are destined for mid table. Even if this Rusyn lad comes in, we are massively lacking in goals

We really shouldn't be underestimating how bad an achilles injury is. It's finished better players than Stewart.

If Stewart has lost even a yard of pace, he'll suddenly look very slow.

    £8m is excellent money.

I'd rather take the cash now for Stewart. Invest now hopefully, and not be scratching about again for a striker in next window with less money to spend.

Nixon just said we are close to a striker and in for a second, presuming he just means Rusyn and Cannon

We might be lacking in goals even if Stewart stays for all you know.

All we've got to go on right now is the facts. And the fact is, he's currently coming back from a very serious injury. He might only be half the player he was. We have money on the table for him, and we'd be stupid not to take it, even if he's not replaced.

I honestly think if we haven't got that replacement then Stewart goes nowhere

Bet Blackburn are kicking themselves that they didn’t just take the money for Brereton Diaz last summer or January

I think we are going to be forced to cash in on him - Playing devils advocate for the people who say dont sell and keep him for a year to go on a free that is essentially paying a £6m loan fee for a player who might not get up to speed for a while

We have scored from a penalty this season.
We have kept a clean sheet.
And one of our former players didnt score against us.

We've failed to score in less games without Stewart than with him ...

... if we give him a fat new contract and he doesn't recover well from his injury we've increased the wages of someone who's no longer as good.

I'd rather Southampton took that risk tbh.

To get £8-10m at this stage would be brilliant business, if it is invested correctly and spent in this window. If it isnt and it ends up one striker in and one striker out then its suicide from Speakman and co, it will get toxic quickly. It also needs to be buys and not loans coming in. This striker situation has been ongoing for 12 months and going into the final couple of days of the window isn't very clever.
