MARSDEN, that goal at Ipswich, was there. Also he played for a while alongside Mark Draper in midfield, similar size, similar hairstyle, both hugely competitive. Was always confident we’d get Downes permanently, was more a question of how soon into the window and how much he’d cost.
Before pre season and for circa £15m would be good.
As mentioned before have to see how much of the budget is gone by THB and Downes signing permanently. From FFP perspective I think the year runs til the end of June so getting both in before then and in the same year we sold Lavia/Livramento/JWP would be great from a reporting perspective
