I’ll eat humble pie but will be happy. I’m magnanimous in being right and gracious in being wrong, unlike others on here.
How many Blackburn supporters have you spoken to? I work with lots of them and while they’re all aware that Wharton is an outstanding talent he’s still a bit raw, which is presumably why he didn’t start that often last season and most of them don’t rate Travis. Just out of interest, if you look back at last week’s highlights, you’ll see that both of them were at fault for losing the ball in midfield which led to very good chances for us that should have led to goals but for our poor finishing.
Coyle is decent overall but he above all others makes me feel nervous when he can’t see or find the first pass and checks inside…always feels like he’s about to play a risky pass or give the ball away.
Well he seems not to lose the ball alot maybe that is because he is able to make the passes very quickly meaning he does not need alot of time on the ball because his vision is really good and knows what he is going to do soon as he gets the ball, and it mostly always goes forward watching that and that makes for pretty good defence and attack at the same time.
This may be the vino talking....but why is Slater undroppable? He is average at best (unpopular opinion). Just done ok in an average city side.
That was once popular opinion... I thought that yesterday was one of Slater's worst games in a while, yet he still managed one of the most delicious through-balls you'll see all weekend.
I still think playoffs or above will be a big ask but if we don't put on a good half dozen places this year then I don't think Rosey will be taking next pre season without significant mitigation.
Like I said, I think 14th is where we’ll be. We’ll play some decent football at times but we’ll draw too many games we should’ve won and lose quite a few as well. I don’t think Rosenior will be here next summer. More than happy to be proven wrong though.
