So we all want this cf but who drops out the starting 11? Neil, ekwah, dack or jobe has to be one of them 4 for me. Personally I leave Neil and ekwah in the team and it's between jobe or dack.

Re; Batth going - looks like Seelt is in full training now, which might be the reason the Batth leaving thing has picked up

Its another reason why we can't blame the club for not bringing a striker in on demand. Batth to Blackburn has been seemingly on the cards for weeks and is only going to go through now that Seelt is fit. Will be the same for any strikers lined up

Not just Everton with Adams either. They also lost Calvert-Lewin at the weekend.

The two UK based strikers we have been linked with - Cannon and Stansfield. Both their clubs lost a striker this weekend, either to injury or transfer. It is very possible that either were genuinely due to go through and then got put on ice until both clubs sort themselves out. Similar to what we have seemingly done with Blackburn and Batth until Seelt is fit.

Agree on it been dack. With jobe scoring them 2 goals Saturday it will have done him the world of good. Plus you can see him getting better with each game we play.

18 mill for archer is crazy money and that's why we struggling to get a centre forward. The prices for players have gone crazy this summer.

Great question. I would say Jobe and Dack rotate because we need a solid base as well and Neil provides that, and Ekwah learning too. Some games we can sit out Neil or Ekwah and ask Jobe to go a bit deeper and have him and Dack in.

The question really does illustrate a different challenge. We will mostly play 1 up front. So we really only want 1 more, as we will have 4 for 1 spot then. Adds a consideration for incomings. Stansfield for example, may see another club who are saying you play every week as the right option for them. If it a loan hard to see why we are atttactive if Stewart is staying. Thankfully Speakman and co. have to wrestle that one not me.

Dack has to play behind the striker for me, it’s Neil, Jobe and Ekwah battling for the 2 midfield spots

I think its a bit more fluid than that. For me there are three roles - 2xdeep and 1xadvanced.

Deep roles will rotate between Ekwah, Neil, Jobe, Matete, Rigg + experienced midfielder we bring in
Advanced roles will rotate between Dack, Jobe, Rigg, Ba

    I've written off Evans, unfortunately.

The great thing with Stansfield and Mayenda is they can also play out wide, and in Stansfield case, play the number 10 role.

I think Ba is better on the wing because he’s so quick and tricky I think that’s wasted in the middle. Not sure about Jobe playing as the most advanced we’ve tried that a few times and he looks lost at times but it still early days. Rigg would probably be who’d I’d have behind Dack for that spot.

This isn’t accounting for us signing a new CDM by the way because then who drops out :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think Jobe finds it hard to create space for himself in the number 10 role. You could see the difference when him and Dack swapped roles. Was really impressed how he held the ball up when he moved up front.

I think he’s got some of the key attributes to be a great holding midfielder and he’s young enough to be moulded. Only getting bigger anarl, big 6’4 powerhouse in front of the back 4 he’ll be like the second coming of Rodri :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Always liked that weve been linked with Jebbison looks a similar style to Stewart - Wonder if depending on him coming back from his injury of course we have looked at Brewster from sheff utd, seems to have tread a similar path to Roberts full of promise and potential unfilled

Brewster is a great left field shout.

There is a definite player in there to unlock.

I'm not sure it's that simple. Jobe only looked decent when he moved up front, but if we sign a striker that position will no longer be available for him. I think Dack is probably the better AM, currently.

Makes you wonder if we are less anxious to get a striker in than we were before the weekend. His 2 goals are maybe the reason for the delay?

    Nah I doubt that.

Mowbray came out and said that Jobe's stint up front would be short lived, and Jobe himself said he was happy about that as he prefers playing in midfield.
