Come on Ashworth, make this happen.
I want my free Toon top.
Spain forward Ansu Fati, 20, has chosen to leave Barcelona, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham among the clubs interested. (AS - in Spanish)
I guess Chelsea are playing hardball for a full transfer as they desperately need cash in the bank.According to skysports our latest offer for Hall is for a permanent transfer, not a loan with a buy option.

There’s a balance. I thought when we brought Ashworth in we’d see a few Caicedo, Estupinan, Mitoma, Enciso signings which hasn’t really happened - Minteh aside.
But then when you look at the robustness, speed and desire of these less than glamorous surnames you can see why Eddie is signing them. I saw Hall three times last season and I thought he was ready now as well as having huge potential. I’m very happy with all business of the new ownership.
I thought the reports were that he was personally very well connected in places like South America, hence getting on the front foot for signing up and coming talent in the region before other clubs got wind of it.Ashworth didn’t really have anything to do with brightons scouting set up though so not sure why you’d expect him to recreate it at newcastle?

He was the one making decisions though it goes through him. I understand you're keen to find negatives to soothe your plight , but seriously it gets dull listening to it.
No idea what you’re on about but ok.
I mean wow - Hall would be a massive coup! A rcb in and we are really going to be doing bits this year with the squad depth we have.
Livarmento-RCB(Harwood-Bellis)-Botman-Hall that could be a back 4 for the next 10-15 years.
1st/2nd/3rd XI
Pope/Dubravka/Karius
Trippier/Livarmento/Manquillo
Schar/(THB)/Lacselles
Botman/Burn/Dummett
Hall/Target/Krafth
Tonali/Anderson/Hendrick
Bruno/Longstaff/Hayden
Joelinton/Willock/Miley
Almiron/Murphy/Fraser
Barnes/Gordon/Ritchie
Isak/Wilson/CF?
That 3rd XI is probably a starting XI only 3 seasons ago with the exception of Miley and a CF - decent cover if you have a cup game in a packed schedule/over xmas off the bench

Same here, I was hoping we'd see one or two gems being unearthed that don't cost huge amounts. But Brighton seem to still be doing that, so I'm now wondering how much of that was actually Ashworth.
But as you say, the signings we have made all seem to work well for the style of play Eddie is looking for.
I just feel we seem to be paying quite a premium for the young (relatively untested) talent, compared with us 'discovering' the future talent, like Brighton have.
I still insist we've cash left for another Livramento level signing, with loans on top. I'd be surprised if it's not us pushing for the perm deal, with no buy back or sell ons.I guess Chelsea are playing hardball for a full transfer as they desperately need cash in the bank.
I’m sure that’s because the obligation to buy gets treated as a full buy now by UEFA.According to skysports our latest offer for Hall is for a permanent transfer, not a loan with a buy option.
