Interesting that every single clip is of him attacking because by most accounts defensively he is still quite a bit suspect, but only young so not expected to be finished article.

All our signings have been ****e over the past 18 months I know this because everyone has told me.

All jokes aside I'd prefer him to an unknown foreign player... I've come to really appreciate players with Premier league experience.

He supports Newcastle which means he'll give everything too.

Just like Dan Burn?

Come on Ashworth, make this happen.
I want my free Toon top.

Spain forward Ansu Fati, 20, has chosen to leave Barcelona, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham among the clubs interested. (AS - in Spanish)

There’s a balance. I thought when we brought Ashworth in we’d see a few Caicedo, Estupinan, Mitoma, Enciso signings which hasn’t really happened - Minteh aside.

But then when you look at the robustness, speed and desire of these less than glamorous surnames you can see why Eddie is signing them. I saw Hall three times last season and I thought he was ready now as well as having huge potential. I’m very happy with all business of the new ownership.

Same here, I was hoping we'd see one or two gems being unearthed that don't cost huge amounts. But Brighton seem to still be doing that, so I'm now wondering how much of that was actually Ashworth.

But as you say, the signings we have made all seem to work well for the style of play Eddie is looking for.

I just feel we seem to be paying quite a premium for the young (relatively untested) talent, compared with us 'discovering' the future talent, like Brighton have.
