It's sad this thread degenerated into swapping jokes. What Blatter has done is unforgiveable. It's put the sport back 30 years or more.

What's going to happen at kids games now when they can say anything they like of a racial nature because at the end of the game shaking hands makes it ok. Think about it instead of dismissing it as unimportant.

What a load of indefensible rubbish this idiot Blatter spouts. Hope all the big world class company's who pay for advertising in FIFA's events pull the plug until he is kicked out

Same, I created the thread in the hope that it would generate some sensible discussion and debate about Blatter's comments. It was a ludicrous thing to say given the publicity of the issue in this country at the moment. It's disappointing to see some using the thread to post stupid jokes (James) and insults but at least there have been some sensible comments appearing. Oh, and Erik, I think it is something we should be commenting about and paying attention to, you only have to look at the comments from people in the game to realise how much of a clanger Blatter has dropped wth this one. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15766375.stm
