Last time I remember a meltdown as bad as we're seeing at the minute was, ironically, when we appointed Tony Mowbray.I didnt panic when Neil left, I was calm. For some reason, the current situation leaves me really uneasy and feels massively wrong

Meltdown by some, probably vocal, individuals. I don’t think these boards represent our overall fan base, but honestly m8 if they did the chemists in the town would run out of bipolar medication.Meltdown, or showing genuine concern? The signs are that all is not well with Mowbray and Speakman, our threadbare squad isn't papering over the cracks thus far and it feels as though nothing is going to change. The club maybe putting all their eggs in the Stewart basket and writing off the first 10 games of the season
Its fair to feel like that but it has only been 2 games and we still have time to get the players we needHappy to be called a bed wetter but I am absolutely ****ting myself and fear a massive sink and a lower table season
I was happy in May and optimistic for the new season (on the understanding the striker issue would be resolved). Here we are in August and it feels like nothing has changed in terms of recruitment. We are again relying on kids with 0 senior appearances under their belts and we have no Amad now to pull our nuts out of the fire. I am largely reserving judgement until 1st Sept to see what the squad looks like then, but I am worriedMeltdown by some, probably vocal, individuals. as to your points, that’s fine it’s your opinion, but honestly is that how you felt and expressed your position in May? Most people were enthused as far as I recall, then the new signings were greeted well. All the time we all said Stewart either needed to be sold and replaced, or be back firing on all cylinders, for me still the same, lots of positives just missing a striker, hopefully we’ll get one but if we don’t we’re where we were from February.
True, but he can't dine out on that forever. We were a shambles of a club on and off the pitch. Currently we are still a shambles OFF the pitch and in danger of repeating last season's mistakes on it. Worrying noises coming out about Mowbray and Speakman and there is generally only one winner in that scenario
They DO have credit, but there is a pattern emerging where we are relying on youngsters to fill the shoes of experienced players - I have no issue with that in principle, but as stated previously, if we haven't learned the lessons of last season then we are in for an underwhelming season this time around. I hope I am wrongHow long can he dine out on it? We're one match into the league season, after a hugely - and unexpectedly - successful season. Him and Speakman should have got a lot of credit in the bank with the fans after where we've come from.
It’s almost like we should have a little faith that those in charge actually know what they’re doing.People saying it’s ‘similar to when Neil left’
I seem to remember that working out well, actually…

It’s not like they haven’t earned it.
It's about time that the transfer window closed before the start of the seasonIts fair to feel like that but it has only been 2 games and we still have time to get the players we need
We dont know how the squad will look by the end of the window so we will know more then
Theres no point in us going over the lack of striker as much as we have last couple days as thats def getting people worried/is breding more negativity. Get its folk venting their opinions but seems like we as a forum are just going around in circles
With everything there needs to be give n take from both our recruitment team n TM, no point both sides being stubborn - both need to find common ground to take us forward
Of course i have worries, i always do until players actually sign for us. I can see a lot has been said about players ages in terms of gooch/pritchard etc. For me its not about their age its about whether the club feel they can continue to grow with us.
Throwing money at this problem isnt a solution - dont get me wrong we should be spending money on the right player thats at the right price - as weve been down that path of overspending before n it put the club in a dangerous position financially.
Football changes so quickly, for good n bad - we win on saturday n get a new signing in at the start of next week everything looks rosey (appreciate the reverse can have an even more negative reaction).
We all know there will be people on here with agendas against speakman n co (very rare these days tho), there will be people whose emotions are dictated by our last result, theres folk who always think the worst and therell be people who feel the club can do no wrong.
The one thing this forum def shows is how much we all love the club. We havent had pages n pages n pages of the same chat because we dont care, weve had it because we all have an idea as to how we want the club to be ran. That alone continues to give me confidence on how great this club can become, its because of us fans!!!
God i talk some crap like.... thats what being in back to back meetings about MI does to you
Enjoy the rest of your day fellas n hopefully we get transfer news soon
Will never happen as all leagues start at different times. I agree tho, in an ideally world all European leagues would have a transfer window that closed as the seasons start - close a month earlier than it does now would cover all the major leaguesIt's about time that the transfer window closed before the start of the season
It already did happen a few years ago in England, it got reversed after a year or twoWill never happen as all leagues start at different times. The lack of consistency is remarkable. I've heard a few times that 'we need to sign players established and experienced in this league as we've lost Amad, Simms and Stewart' ignoring the fact that none were experienced and established in this league until we introduced them to it.The amount of people who complain that we're playing untried youngsters, yet thrap themselves silly over Chris Rigg..................... The only thing that matters is that if you're good enough, you're old enough.

It really is mind. It’s a joke. It's about time that the transfer window closed before the start of the season
