We said the same in the last window, and the one before that, and we still failed in the striker department
Aye. Different to Amad but in some ways might be a better fit and he will look both ways, Amad was always looking for Roberts or to shoot.
Not likely to score the rakers Amad did but he is more likely to pinch a few in the box.
My desire to see Amad return this window is tempered by his injury. Don't know the extent of it, but if RS is coming back we've enough further potential breakdowns to worry about without using a loan space on someone who might break down again.
Simms often does look bad when he's not scoring. I kept an eye on the game, rather than watch it intently - he had a few poor touches and gave the ball away. He was like that for us, but then seemed to pop up with a goal out of nothing
We need to move on from Amad. He is not our player.
So lets wait n see what happens at the end of this window

We all want a striker, and we all know we need one so no point keeping going on about it

Don't think that's likely. Might even say,our standards have been set high,which is maybe why we haven't signed anyone yet.

If anything we are waiting for the PL market to shift a bit. I don’t see anyone in our league or below that’s anywhere near.

I think this was the main problem because when they did get in good positions to put a cross in they invariably cut back or slowed it down, so he didn't get a chance to attack anything in the box. Another thing was he kept pointing for someone to put a ball through for him to run onto but nobody tried it.
He wasn't great but I don't think he was as bad as some making out, considering the above.

Personally , i this the club has looked to bypass the main body of player ie between 21 and 29ish. We bought Roberts who seemed to have lost his way, but which other player has arrived at the club in their prime years since the model was announced.
