If you fancy a bit of variety in your transfer nonsense, try working your way through 13 pages of Max Bird speculation from Derby fans. Also highlights how inward looking most clubs are. Pretty much nobody on there can think of any reasons he'd join little Hull City over the massive Derby County.

I don’t think any of us are naive enough to think a player would turn down a move to the league above in order to stay with us. KLP a prime example last year, many thought it might be the wrong move but we all could understand why he went

You're right there. It's the same as when one of our players is linked with someone like Brentford and our fans argue that they'll be coming down next season anyway so he might as well stay. Both ridiculous.

I've just read it and to be honest, I was surprised that there wasn't a lot more 'little Hull City' stuff on there, they generally seem quite reasonable.

This makes this forum look the bloody doldrums. Honestly I read about 2 posts that seemed unreasonable and even then I was questioning they all seemed relatively consigned that this is how the cookie crumbles with transfers

Their fans on twitter on the other hand....

Luckily, even though like a hole in one it's an Albatross there is no expectation for you to buy a round. It would be frowned upon in Scotland buying a round when there was no need to.<laugh>

David Lloyd the Cricketer was the after dinner speaker in the evening, and he was hilarious, he had just a dead pan face when delivering his punch lines. One story he told when he asked Clive Lloyd, who stood next to him in the Urinals, he said I looked down and asking him why he had brought his bat handled into the toilet with him.
In reality a 2 on a par 5 is better than a hole in 1 (at a par 3).

Ryan Woo seems like exactly the sort of player you’d want in a side playing Roesniors technical style, so on one hand I find it slightly odd that we are looking to offload him. On the other hand, for me I think that confirms the rumour that he’s on a massive wage and too expensive to have sitting around on the bench. That would also rule him out of a move to Derby.

Pretty much what I’ve been saying about him. He’s a good technical player but lacks physicality.

There's thirteen pages on that thread and that's probably the only comment that vaguely agrees with what you said.

There's a Youtube video of him called something like 'defensive skills' and though he's clearly not a 'barge them out the way' type of player, he seems to have a hell of a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
