I don’t think any of us are naive enough to think a player would turn down a move to the league above in order to stay with us. KLP a prime example last year, many thought it might be the wrong move but we all could understand why he went
You're right there. It's the same as when one of our players is linked with someone like Brentford and our fans argue that they'll be coming down next season anyway so he might as well stay. Both ridiculous.
The "young English talent" is surely Twine. The winger who Baz has mentioned isn't necessarily English is he?
I've just read it and to be honest, I was surprised that there wasn't a lot more 'little Hull City' stuff on there, they generally seem quite reasonable.
This makes this forum look the bloody doldrums. Honestly I read about 2 posts that seemed unreasonable and even then I was questioning they all seemed relatively consigned that this is how the cookie crumbles with transfers Their fans on twitter on the other hand....
Reading the thread on their board, I think they're underestimating quite how good a signing Woods could be for them.
judging by the fact I've seen them ask for Slater and Jones I dont think they have a clue about our players
I dont blame them in a sense. Seems they've had a habit of buying older heads in replacement of their young stars. Woods at 29 wouldnt initially look exciting
Ryan Woo seems like exactly the sort of player you’d want in a side playing Roesniors technical style, so on one hand I find it slightly odd that we are looking to offload him. On the other hand, for me I think that confirms the rumour that he’s on a massive wage and too expensive to have sitting around on the bench. That would also rule him out of a move to Derby.
There's thirteen pages on that thread and that's probably the only comment that vaguely agrees with what you said. There's a Youtube video of him called something like 'defensive skills' and though he's clearly not a 'barge them out the way' type of player, he seems to have a hell of a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
