Apparently so. I never liked the bar being in the middle, I thought it was a waste of a big area. Will look better when the memorabilia is back in place, I assume they will be putting it back?
The memorabilia is in storage and will be coming out this week. Much nicer space than the old one.Don't like it me. Sign looks naff and all the historical memorabilia has went. Looks to be like a revamp of a social club.

Great news, I really hope its a replacement for Davison; too much gone wrong on his watch imoNew customer facing ops person joining! Fantastic news. This is the kind of appointment I’ve been asking for ever since Davison was appointed in a role he wasn’t qualified for

The lad must be on a fortune heading up the entire MLS operation rather than one particular club over there. Davison is on circa 150k, can't see us employing another one on a similar wedge. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed it's a replacementit won’t be, he will be working for Davison I would imagine. Davison’s scope of responsibility is huge and his background is in ops not customer stuff. I reckon with all the latest nonsense, KLD has made him appoint somebody to take all that off his hands

mls marketing is great aswell, can hopefully only be a positiveNew customer facing ops person joining! Fantastic news. This is the kind of appointment I’ve been asking for ever since Davison was appointed in a role he wasn’t qualified for

He would likely report to Sunderland's chief executive officer Steve Davison, who has been in overall charge of all off-field matters and business operations at the club since he arrived on Wearside in January 2021.

Reading this guys background, I actually think he may well be coming in to replace Davison. As I said at the time, Davison was very much an internal focused appointment at a time when KLD wanted to get the ship in order. Perhaps now a decision has been made that the role should focus more on the external off field elements, with a more junior appointment to do internal stuff. And perhaps Davison will gradually transition out.
It might also be as simple as KLD not wanting to “fire” Davison and let him find a new role so he can stand down rather than be sacked. Which considering the guy is from the corporate world and not the football one, would be a decent thing to do
