This is actually typical to the point you have to laugh

 

Any physios out there have an opinion on if we are just unlucky with injuries or there are underlying issues that need looked at? I’ve mentioned this before and some of our injuries at the time were due to impacts during games. But in preseason during training we’ve picked up 3 or 4 now?

 

Unbelievable that. Something not right there, was he ready to train. Maybe just bad luck

 

At least three months out for Mayenda

 

Mayende suffered a hamstring injury in his first training session.

Mowbray told us they’re working hard to bring another striker in (as they would have been anyway, v much a long-term signing).

 

yep 3 months or so out he says. So looking like November or so

Without being too critical, that's really poor from the sport science team. Multiple months is grade 2 or 3 and that doesn't happen often. For a first training session, things need to be looked at sharp.

 

Could it not have been weakened by his previous regime ?

 

We already needed one more striker before this injury! Would love to find out what witch doctor has cursed our club.

FFS, cursed or what...

 

I remember Arsenal going through a similar period under Wenger. I could be talking out my arse, but I'm sure they did a major overhaul of the medical team.

 

Your fault mate. You said he looked strong and quick from a photo or two. Cursed him

 

Surely our medical team would have tested all this before letting him out on the grass.

 

Not sure how the injury occurred, nor has the lad already had one before, therefore an existing weakness?
