I doubt Longman would agree to go to the League of Ireland on loan, let alone permanently. He and and his agent will rightly think he can do better even if he’s not Championship quality.

With Jarvis not being needed to be registered theoretically he could just come back in no?

I used to regularly go to Belfast in the 80's during the troubles and I still felt safer as an Englishman there, than I did on a Saturday night out in Glasgow.

I would imagine, not know, as long as they're not being bellends about anything incendiary, they'll be fine.

Great experience for them and lots of potential in Dublin.

I don't think so, he's been transferred to a foreign league, he'll need to be registered back with us during a window to be able to play in league games.

For what it's worth, Wood's loan was announced as being til 30th November, whereas Jarvis is til the 13th. Not sure what that means in terms of season end dates.

Edit: I've got them the wrong way around. But still.

He's under 21 though which I think exempts him

Let’s just hope they don’t turn up in their black & tan hull city kits.

NT, have you got a link to Shel's board? Been looking for one for ages.

I think any transfer to a foreign league, regardless of age, is classed as not in our league, so would need to be registered back. Even Scotland too.

But is that specific thing necessarily limited to transfer windows? Might be but I don't know.

registrations are limited to windows unless they're free agents or youth players which is what I though Jarvis would apply to the latter

Jarvis definitely qualifies as an U21 player so doesn't have to be named on the 25-man squad list. But you do have to list all of your U21 players on a separate list too. We had about 20 of those last season.

Chazz, what is your beef with ROI? It's like anywhere else in Europe in 2023. Nobody there gives a rats about religion or where you are from or ancient history (Northern Ireland, the bit that is "British" is a different kettle of fish). Just to give you an idea, here is a monument deep in the west of ROI

Probably right. Northern Ireland is more polarised than the Republic of Ireland and Glasgow is more polarised than Northern Ireland.

Then there’s this board, which is more polarised than all three.

I think they are already out of European entry (lost in their cup competition).
"Defeat closes an avenue to Europe for last year’s finalists, which means they need to secure a top-three finish in the league to qualify or else claim fourth and hope one of the sides above them lifts the trophy. As it stands, Shels are in sixth, eight points behind third-placed Derry with a game in hand. Bohs are four points ahead of them in fourth.

“We openly speak about Europe because that's where I want to go, that's where I want to bring the club, so, yeah, it's a route that is gone,” he continued.

I've wondered if because of the attacking capabilities of Christie and Vinagre, we would be better suited playing 5 at the back with the emphasis on C & V bombing forward
    GK
    Jones Mcloughlin Greaves
    Christie_________________________Vinagre
    Seri Slater
    Traore
    Delap_________Estupinan

In fact, I've just given myself a bonk on looking at this!!!!

I've been and will stand by it. I get the very distinct impression that you've never been. And yes, I've been to NI also and that is a polarised mess.
