What constitutes home grown. At what age do they have to start with us?

 

Club home grown requires them to have spent 3yrs at the club between 15-21yrs, nationality doesn’t matter, Kuol becomes home grown in 3 years

 

Gillespie ticks the nation home grown box but doesn’t qualify for club home grown as he pissed off to Carlisle when he was 16

I think so long as they've had 2 years 'continuous' at the the club at some point between 15-21, then it's OK if they have also been loaned out, so long as technically still on our books for 3+ years.
Not sure whether that still works for Gillespie?

 

Well if he left when he was 16 and returned in his 30s the answer is no he won’t count

 

The mighty Kevin Mbabu though, he'd count. I mean he wasn't good enough to get gametime at Fulham so probably not the solution we're looking for.
