He’s a 4chan edgelord with a lot of money. Even the software engineers who survived his initial purge of Twitter’s staff openly called him out for being a clueless moron when it came to rewriting Twitter’s code. And they’ve been proven right by this latest ****-show. But he’ll always have his army of sycophantic cretins.
Yeah, in spite of Musk, not because of him. The board got rid of him as CEO for Peter Thiel because of how incompetent Musk was as CEO.
What do you mean he won't shag me? Are you trying to tell me he isn't sat waiting for some complete and utter stranger to defend him on a random message board?... Don't crush my dreams like that, I was sat looking out my window expecting to see a Space X rocket land in my garden and whisk me away into his arms. And fyi I don't agree with some of the things he does and or says, but unlike you, I can not agree with people or have different opinions to them without coming out with absolutely laughable comments like yours, that just make you look a bit of an idiot. Absolutely no idea what a tragedy like the one your talking about has anything to do with musk and his talents either. But I suppose if making incredibly poor taste comments about 5 people who have just died is your thing, then it just says everything anyone would ever need to know about you.
Anyway, we any closer to any signings? Or what random position we gonna get Slater in next season? We've had winger, no.10 (I'm sure he's played false 9) and we had him at fullback under Grant briefly. Surely he must be due a chance at centre half soon
There are people I don’t agree with that are actually competent at what they do. Musk isn’t one of them. I don’t agree with a lot of the shocking labour practices at Amazon and Bezos’ exploitation of Amazon workers but for all his and Amazon’s faults, his company provides a fairly consistent service to consumers. If Musk took over Amazon you’d be waiting weeks for an Amazon Prime next-day delivery and it would end up being dropped onto someone else’s roof by a drone.
Well hopefully he doesn't ever take over something like NASA and make it as cost effective and terrible as Space X
SpaceX’s attempts to reach Mars will be ‘OceanGate, but space travel’. In fact, didn’t the OceanGate sub use Starlink to connect and communicate with the surface, which lost contact almost immediately?
It's an interesting feature of our society that to some people, the idea that someone extremely wealthy could be stupid is just absolutely impossible to accept. They absolutely must be very clever and talented in order to be wealthy. To me that's just a wildly naiive view on how the world actually works, but it is a fairly popular one. With Musk specifically, it's the pretend tech speak that gets me. The desperation to sound like an expert in technical fields and the half-hearted, vague words he slaps into a post to do it. Anyone with a bit of software experience can see through the nonsense he writes about Twitter.
I know a fair few people who I'd class as extremely wealthy who id also class as pretty stupid. But that doesn't mean their talentless.
It’s funny because software engineers like to prank upper-management who don’t have a background in engineering themselves with made-up jargon to see if they’ll repeat it at conferences or public announcements. A bit like when people tell apprentices to go ask someone for a ‘long weight’. The software engineers at Theranos, a health tech company, made up the phrase ‘crazing’ and used it enough times until the oblivious COO Sunny Balwani started repeating it whilst pretending to know what he was on about. Some execs just haven’t got a clue about the actual industry they’re in.
I always felt a bit cheated by him, he was out for a long period but showed no loyalty and quickly jumped ship. Having said that, his last-minute free kick at Burnley away, I was with a friend in the Burnley end and jumped up a glee goes down as one of my favourite moments, being the only one celebrating, much to my friend's embarrassment. Also, his free kick against Wolves, though I think the keeper got the credit as it finally came off his back was an enjoyable moment.
Talented? Musk is a complete flop. Like Trump, he inherited money from Daddy, invested it and has ended up burning a large chunk of it. He has no idea how to fix Twitter and has tweeted asking for random users to help. "I'm open to ideas" Jesus Christ.
Musk has always seemed like a pretty awful human to me. I can’t say I knew masses about him until he got into a slanging batch with the diver who helped rescue the kids from the cave and called him a ***** guy… Got his fortune from apartheid era diamond mines. I like Twitter as a platform and it definitely feels worse since he took over. I also get the feeling his view on working is pretty backward, long hours and no life balance.
Amazon is an absolute ****-show of a website, fine for those shopping on it, but utterly appalling to sell on it. It’s clunky, the algorithms don’t work, they find it impossible to rectify the issues that their ridiculous algorithms cause and regularly shut accounts that have done nothing wrong due to their own errors, sometimes causing those businesses to fail. If Amazon was launched today, nobody would use it, it got big ahead of everyone else and became a necessary evil, it’s absolutely hated by everyone who sells on it (and those people account for over half Amazon’s sales).
As a customer though it's brilliant. Next day delivery for random **** I need. I completely take your point though and think all these big platforms, Uber too, will have a tipping point, but no idea what happens then.
So far I've got through life never using Twitter, never using Facebook, never using Instagram, and never using TikTok, and so far I really dont think I've missed out on anything at all
