Got to be at least one big reputation loan for me, as mentioned by others most won’t be available til later in the window after other clubs do their business.

Personally don’t want someone coming in from the PL2 who’s just sat there to make up the numbers.

Another midfielder heading to Liverpool to join MacAllister. Surely they need to let one of their older lads go <whistle>

Can’t wait to see Szobozloi in the PL mind.

He’s a proper player that lad, loves a shot as well, he scrapping Trent for the free kicks.

I was fearful he was going up the road so delighted he’s landed at Liverpool. Those are 2 quality signings in the middle for them.

Either of those would have taken the Mags up a full level, because a number 10 is what they lack.

Delighted to see them both choosing bigger, more prestigious clubs over blood money.

I reckon Joelinton would get found out big style if they transition from a 3 in the middle to 2 with a 10. He’d leave Bruno Guimaraes exposed far too often. Obviously if Tonali is the middle instead that would be a massive upgrade though i think they’ll probably push Bruno G further up the pitch and play without a proper 10 still to keep Joelinton in the team.

He's a cracking bloke and a top professional. Epitomises everything you want a senior pro to bring to your squad.

It's not always going to be like this, but with Wright and Winchester, it feels like we've parted on fantastic terms, the right time for everyone. That allows us fans to appreciate what they did for us and want them to succeed elsewhere in the future.

I hope this can continue, even if we lose better players. It reflects well on everyone and keeps the good feeling at the club.

It's all relevant. For me, they're clearly in the second tier of the transfer market. They can still spend money on players on the up, but they're not in the conversation for the world stars. They couldn't compete for Bellingham, Haaland or even Rice. They couldn't get a Harry Kane or Mbappe. They were out of the Mason Mount conversation when Man Utd showed interest. If Vini Jr decided he's had enough of Spain, no-one would be talking about Liverpool, but City, United and Chelsea would all get a mention.

Yeah moving Bruno forward makes sense.

Im not sure Tonali is it to be honest, fact he supposedly broke down in tears after being forced out is never a good sign.

Tonali is a tidy player and a good signing but he never kicked on from being seen as a massive prospect at Brescia, folk compared him to Pirlo and I mean, behave.

He could potentially be a really strong sitter, or he could go the other way and be completely out of his depth. Unusual for a player to land in the PL without that fire to be here.

Nobody tried to ambush the deal, interestingly. I think maybe that says a little. It’s not a massive fee for someone of that age who’s getting Italy caps.

He’s no Pirlo, and he’s certainly no Veratti. There’s probably better players for the role with PL experience.

Yeah they spend but seems needs spread out over windows. It’s a different kind of spend.

Jude would have been the textbook signing for them but they were never at the races.

Mac Allister and Szobozloi are top signings though, one’s PLAYING proven and a World Cup winner, other can be almost a Coutinho replacement 4 years too late.

I’m hoping they follow England lead and move Trent into midfield, cos as an England fan that’s where we need him. That be a very, very good, balanced 3, with Jordan getting plenty of minutes to aid and help develop.

Not after the injuries last season, also there will be doubts around how many games Stewart can play…certainly at the start of the campaign so that leaves only Hemir.

One more proper striker is a minimum for me, 2 if Stewart leaves.

Said this before but we started the season with the least amount of strikers in the championship last season, and luckily we found ways to score but we were severely lacking in some games.

Surely we can’t make the same mistake this season.

This thread should just be about our transfer news, not other clubs, especially the PL

Club constantly pushing the growth mindset and leaning culture. Pretty confident the recruitment side will take this to heart and learn from last years experiences. Certainly we’ll stocked in CB position now.
