I get that we need to move swiftly on the manager front but I’d be waiting until the seasons finished at least. Some managers might become available or be willing to consider their futures that are currently focused on their remaining games.

There’s been a lot of noise about Leicester being very keen on Russell Martin if they get relegated - I suspect Saints might have tried to get ahead of the game and head that potential issue off?

James Bree speaking on Solent post-match today said that he would like to stay at the club next season and compete to play every week. He feels he has plenty to offer in the Championship, he knows the division too but that he knows it depends on who the new manager is and how they feel about him.

Thought he played well enough today, considering he hasn't played for a couple of months and had to go up against Mitoma. Some crisp one-touch passing under pressure.

He got a lot of assists at Luton didn’t he? And can play in a 3 or a 4, so possibly a good player for RM’s system. We have Tino now though, too.

Those two competing at RB would be excellent. Plus Tino needs to be given a chance higher up the pitch at some point.
