Good to see that we are looking at the same players as AZ Alkmaar. They have the same policy as us - buy them young and develop them. They play very much like we do too. Play out from the back and use skill and pace to overcome the opposition. They are currently 4th in Eredivisie and have had a good Europa League campaign.

I hope we can entice him to come over.

Isn’t that rule that you have to have an option price in all foreign loans?

Me too. I have a feeling that other clubs have been in his ear and may move to a team in a higher league.

Would like to have him here though. Think he has massive potential and his upside can be monumental.

as long as Clarke, roberts and Stewert stays i don't care who comes in but at £3m means maybe one of them is leaving cos we are not bigger than Luton seemingly and two tall defenders we need as well.

Personally I think Embleton will move on, depending on how quickly he recovers from his injury. Plus Evans is 33 in July and he'll be out until Christmas. I don't think either are long term options for us right now, so there is scope for Michut. I guess it depends on who we think is going to benefit us the most, who will fit in to how we play going forward and how much game time they're going to get. No point signing someone if we're not going to play them regularly.

No chance we'd get 2.5m for Matete ha, I swear most on here don't realise he could barely get a game in League One last year. We'd be lucky to get 1m for him, imo

We will end up having no takers for a Matete signing and he will go out on loan is what I reckon.

Bear in mind lads that us agreeing a fee for Michut doesn’t mean he wants to sign.

Even if he enjoyed himself and has developed, he may consider a move elsewhere to be more beneficial than the style here in England.

Michut might also back himself to be making a move to a top flight club. Agents will know that the fee we agreed was so relatively low that it’s in PSGs interest to sell him somewhere else and agents will help facilitate that as if it’s in PSGs interest then they can take a cut of that.

also let’s not pretend the loan was an overwhelming success. It was a good one and he has looked very promising. But it’s not like he’s played every week and been an obvious first choice.

2.5 million euro for michut is what 2 million quid? We could easy get 1 million for Matete, but I agree he could hardly get a kick towards the end of his loan. One of the reason I'd peddle him

Assuming Michut wants to come back, 2.5m euros for him is a no-brainer. Many on here, me included, thought he was every bit as good as Dan Neil. I would be disappointed if we received less than £15M for Neil if we decided to sell him, so even if Michut wants to move on in a year or two, it would be a sound investment.

    Nailed it.

Showed promise in flashes. Definite potential.

If it was him or Jobe I’d take the English lad every time, can see Brum fans raging all ower the web they know how good he can be.

James Milner supposed to be leaving Anfield, if we can't get the organ grinder, should we consider the monkey?

How do you figure we can "easily" get 1million for Matete? He's midtable League One standard currently, teams in that league don't have that sort of money to burn. Most of them survive purely off loans and free transfers, with their highest ever transfer records around £500k...

Regardless of the Matete stuff though, I agree we should be snapping Michut up if he's available for 2.5m. As others have said though, it might be out of the club's hands
