You’re not wrong but he’s about to have a full pre season where he’d get up to full sharpness. He took the bulk of our expectations for goals for a good percentage of our games this season and is at a good age. He’s also shown he can lead the line in games, just hasn’t been consistently good, that’s where the pre season will iron it out IMO.

I think this is all a mute point anyway as I don't think he'll play much next season. This lack of forwards has provided Tufan with the opportunity and he's a very good striker at this level. We've been playing a loose 442 with Adama and Tufan up top and then you've also got Tetteh and Connolly to rotate with them. Even if we don't keep Aaron, we'd need a smaller forward. Oscar just isn't technically good enough to play in Rosie's system

I wouldn't write him off. I just don't see him as a target/link up man but then neither is Connolly. Be interesting to see either have a sustained spell alongside Tetteh. Tufan will be competing with Traore for the 10 or deployed wide right when we actually have fit strikers I'd have thought. Nowt stopping him being used as 1 of the deeper 2 mids either now he's got his engine back.

If Oscar isnt planned to be played much then he'll probably be made available. Too much of an asset to have him warming the bench having scored 13 - others will be looking at him.

I like the idea of this rotating forward line... Imagine doing it with 'proper' strikers...

I think Elder is going. The vibe I got when he came over to East Stand at full-time to give his shirt away seemed like a bittersweet farewell to the fans. Could be wrong but my instinct is that was him saying goodbye to the fans.

A few have said that but then Rosey said that meetings with players were going to start on Thursday.

Maybe there's been preliminary discussions via the agent and he's not happy at what's being proposed?

Got the impression a straight choice between him and Fleming would be made this summer but we need to strengthen LB regardless. Maybe we can take the risk of bringing Fleming back to the squad as we'd have Greaves as a more solid defensive option if required.

I don't see Greaves getting his left side CB jersey back anytime soon...

Based on what, exactly? He was arguably MOTM against Swansea and didn’t put a foot wrong.

hasn't let us down in the last 2. We're gonna need 3 quality centre halves anyway. They'll all play over a season.

Based on the fact that Macca is a good bit better than him and the fact that LR has openly said he's the main man...

I’d take most things rosenior says about players with a pound of salt tbh

Again, based on what? They’re about the same in terms of quality. Greaves hasn’t been as good at left-back last month or so but he’s been good when coming back at centre-half. He was brilliant yesterday. Only reason Greaves was moved to left-back in the first place is because Rosenior wanted more height in the team to defend set-pieces so having both Greaves and McLoughlin was necessary over having Greaves and Fleming.

I doubt Fleming has grown any in the last season.
