Bielik is a great footballer, but given our injury woes it’s just too much of a gamble to rely on a player like that. For me, we have the worst kinds of injuries in terms of length. It’s not as though we had all season ending injuries in October, at least you can plan ahead for that kind of stuff and sign loan players in January etc to cover the gaps. Our injuries seem to be ones where they get close to coming back and then have a setback, or they are out for a month or so, then come back and then get injured again for another month with the transfer window shut. It’s not just injury records we need to look at, but how well these players recover once injured. I remember Craig ***an getting Danny Guthried in the shins and I’m sure he played on with a broken leg.
I don’t know what happened to Guthrie, I just remember the game ending and then the never day remembering hearing that ***an had actually suffered a fractured leg from it. Oh, and then Duffen was going ballistic about suing Guthrie over it.
He hoofed him. Up the arse late on at St james'. ***s played on, Guthrie got a red. Turned out he had a fracture. Used to be commonplace they'd strap up a broken big toe, play with an injection. Now we have a kid on loan, offering him a route back in after a less than productive recent history. 2 decent games out of 5 and a ball bounces off his toe, never to be seen again.. Whilst everyone's favourite boo boy plays on with 2 cracked ribs. Illuminating.
Chadwick for what he would cost I think is worth keeping him on and seeing how he goes. At worst, you can probably sell him for a few quid to a GY or similar . Tetteh has something different about him, if we can keep him fit then I would also keep him. Oscar needs service, something he has lacked most of the season.
If anyone seriously thinks Connolly is out because a ball bounced off his toe too hard then I don't know what to tell them..
Someone on here broke down Tetteh’s.injury record prior to this season and it’s actually not bad. I get that with Chadwick, but someone believes in him enough to hang on to him for so long. It’d be his last chance saloon at this level.
Someone has at sometime. No, it use to be one of those over used cliche’s used for a poacher who has come up the leagues. And you’re right, it is pretty dumb.
Just because someone doesn't believe or questions the claim being made, that doesn't mean they know what really happened.
That he didn't break his toe because the ball bounced off it. That doesn't mean I don't think his toe is broken or that that is what is keeping him out.
Yeah, I agree. In terms of technical ability, Bielik is the best defensive midfielder in the Championship. If he didn’t tear his ACL twice on the same knee, he’d be an established PL player by now imo. We definitely need someone of that ilk though, preferably one who’s mid-20s so he has some longevity.
He’s already been told he’s being let go, which is why Rosie said they’ll be helping him find a new club
