Good to see Barks curb his natural attacking style to just stay at the crease and support Brown. Only 1 boundary but a very valuable knock.
I know that we're only two/three innings into the season, so it's still very early days, but I'm yet to be convinced that Holland is suited to batting at 7.

With a dodgy forecast tomorrow, it really was important not to get skittled in two sessions today. Even if Surrey make a big score in their first innings it may now be difficult to bowl us out twice.

I would go Donald, but I'd also be totally fine with giving Prest a go instead.
A number 7 needs to have an attacking game (look at how many white ball openers bat at no.7 in red ball). And Donald and Prest both have that.
