If Fuller had got his head down and ran straight away there was 2 there.

I still would've liked to have seen our seamers bowling to their top order this morning but we have a reasonable score and a chance to knock over a few tonight.

Fuller's been left stranded, seemingly leaving plenty of potential runs out there, in both games so far. However, I don't know how we can really remedy that, it needs Abbott to start sticking around a bit longer like he used to. The only way it might work is to drop either Organ or Holland to let Barker and Fuller each push up one in the order to 7 and 8 but I don't think that's a good idea overall. Or Holland at 9, but that's a bit silly really.

As I've said before, Holland to open and Donald in for Organ is another option. This would give us another person who can, fairly successfully, swing for the fences when it gets down to Abbott and Abbas.

Stating the bleeding obvious, but must get early wickets tonight as I think we needed nearer to 300 to be 'back in the game' really, as they say

    A day of "what if?".
You can't afford to give a team like Surrey any advantage and letting them have the bowling friendly conditions in the morning has cost us IMO. The way that we bowled tonight would probably have resulted in a few wickets had we bowled first but now Surrey have a good foundation on which to cash in tomorrow.
We're not out of it yet though but it needs a magic spell from one of the big three of which they are all well capable of.

I do think the weather forecast for tomorrow did play a role in Hants deciding to bat. The forecast has actually improved a bit but there will be thick clouds overhead and it looks like it will be stop-start kind of day. Difficult to get any batting rhythm going. So definitely a bowling day tomorrow.

Will our bowlers be able to use/benefit from the moisture in the air, to get the ball to move around a bit? Here's Hoping...

Looking at the Met Office, it looks like the morning session could be rained out but should get play in the afternoon. I hope that's true as it would be a great time to bowl.

Sibley gone! Conditions are ideal for seam bowling.

Now Burns edges straight through the slip cordon. These are horrible conditions to bat in.

Are you prepared to admit yet that batting first hasn't turned out too bad given the conditions today? :p

Yes the conditions are evening up the match for sure, I still would've liked to have seen what damage our bowlers would've done yesterday morning though, but we'll never know now!

That doesn't matter. We've taken 2 and had about 5 or 6 near misses. Point is these are perfect conditions for our seam attack. I certainly wouldn't want us batting right now.

With no Foakes if we can just get Pope cheaply we'll be in with a real shot of a first innings lead.

Like this move. Holland's medium pace could be very effective in these conditions.
