Yeah but is that worth us hanging onto a 22 year old for? I mean the lad went to Morecambe and dropped out the side, then to Grimsby and picked up a very bad injury, he's had 2x two and a half year deals out of us and has made 10 appearances in three years for City. I'm confused as to why he's been kept on when we have the likes of Rocco Coyle and Harry Wallis coming through.

Think Harry Wallis has just been released.

In terms of players I think we could realistically sign, Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton must be up there. We could do with another right-footed centre-half and van Hecke is a good player who Rosy knows and is versed in playing out from the back.

Guess it depends how much we're paying.

Figs, Woods, Doch, Elder, Pelkas and Greaves should all be replaced.

I'd be surprised if you weren't on the money on the first 3 - and it'll be a case of Pelkas's demands as a free agent - but the mood music isn't good on that right now.

Elder as a backup wouldn't be terrible if serious competition was signed. Greaves is an asset. It'll depend on the money and if he wants to go.

Not only would I not let Tufan go I’d give him an improved and longer contract, he is for me one of the best players in our team, absolute class made an awful game yesterday have moments to remember….

Still not sure what his long term position is with us though. I doubt he’ll play up top once players are signed/fit, Traore I imagine is ahead of him for the number 10 role. I don’t think Liam trusts him enough to play him in one of the sitting roles. That only really leaves out wide and he’s not the quick/tricky type LR wants in that position.

What position was Pelkas on Saturday? That’s where to play Tufan

Yes this is the key issue around Tufan and people don't acknowledge it enough. He's been out of the team for long spells and under Rosenior he's only ever really started as a makeshift winger or makeshift striker. If we have specialist wingers and strikers consistently available I can't see him getting games. He certainly isn't getting games in centre mid ahead of Seri or Slater, and if we sign another midfielder that's only going to get harder for him. I'm still not sure what his best position is really, I think his best quality is his finishing but I'm really not sure that'll be enough to command a place in the team with players coming back from injury and new players also coming in.

I agree but I also don't think we can assume we'll have a fully fit squad for the whole year next season either. It's likely we'll need some depth next season too.

Well if Cov could turn Madden into a champ striker someone will turn Chadwick into one if we don’t - he’ll get picked up for league one or two - and as usual come back to haunt us in a few years - when he gets chunky and strong , they all seem to LOL except George who was hopeless yesterday calf injury or not - if he was that bad he would have gone off - it’s rubbish

It will be interesting to see what happens with him, and clearly know where the goal is. I would be inclined to keep him and see how he goes and maybe at least get a few quid for him.

I'd be amazed if Sinik turns out to be a meaningful part of the squad next season. I think people are still hanging onto the idea of him being the big signing he was supposed to be going by his reputation and the fee we paid, but he couldn't get near the team even when we had a massive shortage of wingers and was sent back to Antalyaspor, I can't see how he comes back from that.

He came off the bench pretty regularly and it's been said by those with contacts at Cottingham it was more his abililty to settle than his footballing ability that led to the loan back to Turkey.

If course he's got to be a doubt for next season and we will probably cash in if we can, but I similarly wouldn't be writing him off just yet either.

I think it would be tragic for Tufan not to be one of the first on the team sheet next season. Why sell him on for X and have to replace him by spending Y... and we would have to replace him...
