Generally, the 40 point mark is only for the Premier League, in the EFL it's usually 50, though there have been exceptions as already posted. I think it was Peterborough who went down with 52 and Walsall a few seasons before that went down with more than 50.

I can't see us rapidly dropping between now and May, we should be aiming for the top ten now, which would be just rewards for the turnaround we've seen under Rosie.

Whether we can keep him over the Summer, well. That's an entirely different conversation.

I can't see Rosie leaving us tbh, he has aims and a long term project with us...... Well Not unless a PREM team came in and that's just not going to happen unless he's successful with us and in that case he'll be in the prem anyway

I think the only real danger would be if Brighton need to look for another new manager. He would suit their organisation to a T. But I think he's still got a bit more developing to do before they'd be confident drawing on him. Perfect situation (for them, not us) would be getting promoted next season, looking ok in the PL the following season, and them grabbing him after that.

I don't think he'd leave us for another Championship club, but if somebody like Fulham were to sack Marco Silva, or Brighton got rid of their manager, the merry go round and money on offer would perhaps entice him away. I really hope not, but I doubt it's gone unnoticed that he's managed to turn us from a very real relegation possibility to a side pushing for the top ten. Pretty sure in the time he's been in charge, we've had the second best home defence in the Championship.

I agree just noting that in the past 10 years the numbers have been typically low and I imagine it may be the same this year

Whoever's injured then.

This is a funny answer but also in all likelihood, the correct one. We've been in this position for about three months now where 3 or 4 players on the verge of a return leave us thinking we're soon to have an embarrassment of riches at our disposal, but it never happens because half of them get re-injured and the other half are replaced in the treatment room by new injuries to others.

Dunno about 3-4 months, it’s been happening all season, or so it feels!

"re-injured"
I've never seen that before

But also factor in that he's only managed for 30 games and we've only won 6 games under him.

That's a terrible list, Connor Washington isn't even the worst striker at Rotherham, he's scored five goals to Eaves none.

It is just derived form the WhoScored points metric, based on statistics. I know what you're saying but I'd definitely rather have a winger who isn't in the statistical worst 11.

My first (and only) question is 'what kind of **** even thinks putting that nonsense together is a reasonable idea'?

I read something on a Baggies fans site that said Rosie is (quote) a potential future England manager...I thought it was a tad tongue in cheek, but then I had another thought, you know there could be something in that long term.
