HoH just doesn’t have a nice vibe, it feels like you’re sat in the middle of an unfinished department store waiting for your mum and aunt to stop shopping. Not exactly somewhere you want to sit for hours eating and drinking.
Hate to say "told you so", but I told you so. It was never going to work. Shame, but absolutely zero surprise. You must log in or register to see media

I've posted before, the centre has become dreadful. I can't understand anyone wanting to live or go into it unless they have to. Certain other areas are ok, but blinkers off, the centre is awful.

What can be done about it then? If it's crap, and putting nice things there is destined to fail because it's crap, then how do we ever stop it being crap?

Why does Trinity Market work then?

The Old Town and Humber Street are far better places to visit than the rest of the city centre. In fact, when you cross the bridge over the A63, it's like entering a different city.
I know you are being sarcastic .... but I really don't. I'm just a realist. Why do you hate Hull? What has it done to you? (Uttered in a Kempton style of indignation when someone is less than fulsome about Hull).
I have never been one for bashing the police but I'm starting to agree with those who think they are only interested in the easy stuff, and given how dangerous things have become who can blame them? The first thing that needs to happen, before there's any chance of things changing, is the city centre being policed and anti-social behaviour being dealt with.
Good post. Makes me fume. Alco /druggie twat needs collar felt.I have never been one for bashing the police but I'm starting to agree with those who think they are only interested in the easy stuff, and given how dangerous things have become who can blame them?
I was in my office yesterday which overlooks the A63. This nob climbed over the fence (not sure why when he could have walked around it in around 7 steps) picked up a massive concrete fence block and lobbed it into the middle of lane 1 for no reason. Two different cars and a lorry both hit it causing god knows how much damage to their cars/truck before thankfully the truck hitting it moved it to the edge. It could easily have been a fatal accident. He simply climbed over the fence and walked off towards Hessle Road. I gave the police a description and offered to send them pictures but she said if they needed them they would ring me.
I left work and drove down Hessle Road as I needed to pop to the supermarket. Saw the bloke again upsetting a woman with a child outside Boyes so I parked up and rang again stating that I had eyes on him and if they wanted to arrest him for the earlier dangerous behaviour I will watch him until they arrive. She said 'thatnks for the update, we will update the case log'. I sat there for 20 mins watching him walk around abusing people before I thought **** this and left. I do not believe that there wasnt a single unit available to come to one of the most central parts of Hull in half an hour. I went to Asda and then as I left there was a fire near Gipsyville and guess what, 5 police cars all in attendance. Went back down Hessle road and the arse was sat on the floor at the boulevard crossing. If they wanted him they could have had him.
Surely what he did is a serious offence? Imagine if a small car hit that, or someone swerved to avoid it causing a major crash?
