I thought we were waiting for Wilcox to come in as he will be heavily involved/lead the hunt and selection of a new head of recruitment.
Good of the Athletic to write a nice puff piece for the club. Total bollocks but **** journalistic integrity eh? If the club have officially given up, any chance they can refund the rest of the season ticket payments?
Over lunch, I read an article about someone (who obviously has far too much free time), simulated the rest of the PL season's games 400 times to see what results they got. In 70% of the runs Saints went down. So I don't think anyone within the club should be giving up just yet.
Let's not kid ourselves, he'll be going regardless of whether we go down or not. He will want to move now, a) to get away from this sh1t-show b) to enhance his chances of England call-ups c) to try and win trophies. SR will take the money for a rebuild. Newcastle for me. I hope he does well; he deserves it.
Debatable, doubt any of the top teams would want him unless he’s very cheap. Newcastle would be the other side who may be in for him as they were rumoured to be in the summer.
I don't care where he goes to, I just want us to get full value for him and I hope that he is a success wherever he ends up.
